Lost name of a new MMO

littleXurolittleXuro Member Posts: 37

It's similar to D3 except it's F2P and was in closed beta stages the past few months.

It's made by a new studio which allowed you to buy packages to support their new studio.

Anyone any idea which one I mean?

    Is it Path of Exile?

Path of Exile is the likely winner. Torchlight 2 is the only other similar-type thing.

Path of Exile is the game that will never step out of Beta

Speaking of Path of Exile, does that game look any good? I haven't followed it much, what's it like?

Path of Exile or Grim Dawn are my 2 bets.

Its a slower paced ARPG (still a ton of fun though).  More akin to old school ARPG's with freedom to build characters the way you want based on passives, skills, stats.  Their solution to creating an end game is also pretty cool.  Users make custom "maps (really just key's)" that increase difficulty and rewards and generates a random dungeon w/ limitied number of tries.

Im actually really excited about it.  Grim dawn looks amazing as well.

It's very nice overall. Definitely worth the 10 USD to support them and get into beta, if you're into Diablo (2) style games at all.
Plays very similar to Diablo 2, has better graphics, fairly in-depth item system (there is no gold - items are traded for items), and has a lot of customization options for characters. Great fun. =)

Edit: by "customization options", I mean skills (=FF7 style slotted gems) and stats. Not actual character looks.
