Are you talking an online pre-order? or did you pre-order through gamestop or some chain?

If it's an online pre-order, you need to set up your account/password, then you have access to all beta events and stress-test days until pre-launch.

This might have been answered, but here we goes. :P

I recently pre-purchased GW2 ( Like 3 days ago ). I did not participate in any stress tests or beta tests before this. Can I simply download the beta client and play this stress test tommorrow? Im extremely pumped that I work till 3:30 and it starts at 3 ( for me ).

Thanks in advance! p.s. I registered an account and all with my serial code. So yeaaahhh

I pre-purchased GW2 on August 1, so I didnt play any of the Betas or Stress Tests prior to that either. But I could play the Stress Test after. So yes, I believe you can enter this Stress Test without any problems. As long as you have pre-purchased the game, which you said you have.

If you haven't already, I would spend tonight or tomorrow morning hurridly downloading the updates for the beta client, less you be found unable to log in!

    Just a friendly reminder :-)

I'm glad you can make it, I think you're really going to like it. Just remember the "fine print". This is going to be a stress test and it's going to be incredibly buggy. The state of the stress test in no way reflects the current state of the actual game.

I know this is something which should be common sense, but you would be surprised how many threads "pop up", right after a stress test, about how bad the gameplay was, the bugs, the lag and the poor state of the game itself.

    Cheers!

Good thing about gw2 is the client... Whenever they added a patch to the game in GW1 there was never a "downtime" for it, you were just noticed in game that the new patch has been added and requested you to close the game and run it again. But you could still play if you'd decide not to patch right at that moment :D

    more questions

1-Can the US client access the EU servers ?

2-Will i be able to put the game in french if i use the US client ?

3-If i decide to play on the EU servers considering i have a very good internet connection would my ping be over 200

    ( i am from canada )

The stress tests always last 4 hours.

    1) you can access any server (there is a EU France server too so I guess you want to play on it) no matter the client.

The only limitation would be that you can't use a US client when you are playing from a EU land and vice versa cause the clients are region locked.

    2) go to the game settings and set the language in France then save and it should work.

    3) it depends on how good your connection is and the amount of people on the screen.

I'm in Germany but playing on the US servers (jade quarry as example which will be my "home") and have no problems at all. The only one time I had a issue was when in WvsWvsW all players from 3 servers meet in the castle in which also tons of arrow carts, ballistas and other stuff was active (lagfest and crash after a minute or two! :p).

However, I think the main problem wasn't even my connection but rather the instance being THAT jampacked that everyone flew out one after another. ^_^

Man I don't know what those people were playing -- I found the last stress test to be increadibly stable and bug free.  Maybe I was just lucky?

It wasn't too buggy for me either, though I know some people who did have problems, so I know not all the complaints were "trollish". However, some of the stuff people have posted here (not this thread in particular) have been ridiculous. Mark my words, if the stress is anything but completely flawless you're gonna see the troll-rage on these forums lol.

The game ran smooth for me also on high settings.  Only problems I had were the login issues but you can't help that when the login servers are being flooded.

Played:  EQ, EQ2, Vanguard, WAR, WoW, LoTRO, CoX, CO, GW2, FFXIV: ARR, AoC, Rift, TSW, SWTOR, TERA, BnS, ESO

    How come?

Because apparently GW2 is a beautiful strong black 100% perfect game who don't need no mo' testing.

Can you please find anybody who have said that?

That's my own take. Here's proof: http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/xeqaz/new_gw2_client_update/c5ls6tl (downvoted into oblivion)

Could you find the link to where you were called a hater or was that imaginary too? Just a bit concerned because seems like a classic sign of delusion, a link would put my mind at ease.
