Best way me get better weapons and talismans.

what is most common way for me to get the better weapons and talismans?

Does most people craft these things, or find them on drops? I has some QL3 and yet some be QL1.

run polaris couple times for some decent drops then use those till you get to savage coast and run Inferno a few times for some decent stuff.. Once you are a good bit through savage coast you should have enough tokens to get the ql6 blues from the vender in blue mountain.. You can just b-line right to the vender and buy the items then port back to agatha or run back to savage coast

or you can craft which yields decent stuff.. just don't buy stuff on the AH prices are RIDICULOUS

That's true in all zones: the blue talismans and weapons drop in the instance for that zone.

That depends. I did ONE full run in TSW and ended up in Transylvania basically without any blue gear. You don't need it, the game is easy enough. Finish all the missions, repeat a few if you like them but there is no need for the dungeon tread mill. I crafted my talismans and even weapons if I need a better quality.

Apart of that the Venice blue item vendor is available. You should manage to gather around 150-160 tokens for all the missions per location ( Kingsmouth, Egypt and Romania ) which means you can afford buying two weapons and one good glyph. Few repeated missions and you can get another glyph. I suggest spending tokens on two weapons of your choice and glyphs for them. You'll get the biggest gain from it.

Now that the marketHouse is up, it is probably easier to find those higher level weaps/Talis/ and glyphs.

That said,..the dungeon runs are a great way. As well as saving your Soloman coins,..

If you enter the Savage Coast zone and run all the way over to the Upper west side, you can follow a road and get there pretty easily, you can find a Venice Vendor that will have some nice blues.

Edit: also,..yes, you can craft,..and I have your own stuff,.but as of now, it kinda takes awhile, and at your QL,..you'd probably just outlevel it faster than it's worth.

So, let me put my two cents in.  I have approx 100 hours of playtime in TSW since release.  I have every weapon skill at 10, most of the weapons secondary skills at 10 and the rest at 4 or 5.   I have 40% of the skills completed.

Now, i discovered this LATE, i didnt discover the huge advantage that running dungeons is until i got well into blue mountain, by which point i had easily 50+ hours into the game.

    START RUNNING DUNGEONS ASAP!

Not only do they give you a metric shit ton of XP the first time you do them, but the subsequent runs give you a ton of XP also.

At QL10, running elites, you can get SH speed runs in where you make 425k+ per run and it takes on average 12-15 minutes per run.

Running DW original at QL6, i think it gives you like 360k the first time (keep in mind this is you in ql5/6 gear) and like 170k per subsequent run.  Thats 6-10ap per run and 2-4 SP per run and it takes at best 30 minutes with a mediocre group.

edit: Oh, i forgot to mention the blue gear you get from the dungeons makes all the outside zone quests even easier.

There is a Council of Venice vendor selling blue QL3 gear just north of the sheriff's office in Kingsmouth. Currency is sequins of solomon island, which you should be getting from missions. Drop rates are random but missions will generally award QL1 gear for missions in Kingsmouth town, QL2 gear for missions on the outskirts of town and QL3 gear for the more remote areas outside of town. This pattern is generally true of every zone.

Hmm reading the other posts, it seems speed is relevant to them. So if you are in a hurry for better gear, spend your SP to level up something. But know that if one weapon is QL6 and the other is QL3 and your talismans are only QL2, you will be very squishy. Spend your SP wisely.

I suppose it might matter in the end, when you ran out of new game content and you just want to grind some missions for extra AP and SP points. The thing is for me the game would end with the last mission and story line quest. In long run I would find repeating missions, running dungeons and typical MMORPG pvp rather bland and boring.

This is also true, and i also do that.  But the majority of the ones that give decent XP returns are only soloable if you're in purple QL10 or better since they're intended for groups, and most of them have a minimum of a 36 hour lockout timer.  Some of the nice ones, like the one in the cave that gives 1.3 mil has a 60 hour lockout.

So, its not as feasible a method for farming if you've already exhausted it.  Where you can easily just pop into an SH group and get xp quickly and easily
