The one I hate to see, mostly because the game could have been good, but sucks is:
Potential.
I cringe when I see that word for a game I am interested in. It is one thing to use the word when a game is in alpha or early beta, but when it has been released and people are talking about its potential, ugh, kiss of death there.
Seriously though, this thread is stupid. It's just turned into a long list of any word anyone has ever used to talk about MMORPGs... You guys need to step back and think about what you're doing a bit here. To the best of my knowledge you don't get football fans making these kind of nonsense attempts to over analyse their community and the language used in it, and yet we see threads like this all the time here. It just comes across as a bit tragic and pedantic. No wonder people outside the hobby think most MMOers are dickheads.
I thought these forums were to talk about games, not each other.
I'm pretty sure this thread was started because of certain people's hatred of the use of the word "innovation".
Originally posted by rdrakken Well since you are including "innovation" which is actually an overused misused phrase how about using F2P as well. Then throw in sandbox and themepark.
The above is my personal opinion. Anyone displaying a view contrary to my opinion is obviously WRONG and should STHU. (neener neener)
I saw that on too many report cards while growing up

Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse. - FARGIN_WAR
Every time I hear a Blizz employee use it as a dismissal, I want to chain punch them in the nards. Such levels of egotism to think anyone who doesn't post must love everything they do.
I also propose that we make alternate words for these, so that eveytime a wall of text is made using 90% of these, we can edit the OP in the quote mad lib style.

Konfess your cyns and some maybe forgiven Boy: Why can't I talk to Him? Mom: We don't talk to Priests. As if it could exist, without being payed for. F2P means you get what you paid for. Pay nothing, get nothing. Even telemarketers wouldn't think that. It costs money to play. Therefore P2W.

Loktofeit, is it really true that there's no "sandpark" yet on the list? Just look at your own signature.
And I demand a sorted list!
I maintain this List of Sandbox MMORPGs. Please post or send PM for corrections and suggestions.
Beta (or alpha): when used simply to insult a game, not the real meaning of the term
"F2P in six months."
"Dead by Christmas."
Hell hath no fury like an MMORPG player scorned.

I'm surprised "sandbox" or "themepark" isn't on that list.

Anything off a list of logical fallacies.
