Believe it or not, "leet" is becoming pretty mainstream. Thats the next thing, just listen to talk shows and radio and what-not, youll notice them using words like owned and uber, and im seeing clothing with leet printed on them. Thats my guess.

I know you said "etc.", but you failed to mention Jolt Cola as a major item. You're not a geek!! You poser!

haha, damn right I believe it. I can't walk from class to class in school without hearing the occasional "woot" anymore
It bugs me when people say Owned or Noob or uber. I haven't really come to a conclusion of WHY, but I hate it when people do things that I do, or like things that I like. More of the fact of liking them years, months, however long, after I started liking them. It happens with my music all the time. Thats happening now with everyone saying all the L33T business, I just have anger towards everyone! BURN THEM ALL!

Back before all of this school shooting stuff, I believe 8th-9th grade, my entire comp lit class would play Team Fortress. Teacher included. Granted..it was a computer class, he was more of a saave computer user than a nerd. But he'd be sure to let you know he was winning.
video games are now becoming more and more mainstream with each generation. back when they were first invented they were a geek/party thing. then in the 80's they became a totaly geek thing.
then GTA came and people started viewing them as cooler, with every year.
thats my personal opinion.
98% of the teenage population does or has tried smoking pot. If you''re one of the 2% who hasn''t, copy & paste this in your signature.
I have to agree that l33t sp34k and general online lingo is deffinatly becoming the next big "geek to mainstream" thing... already I've noticed MANY people at my school and such using terms like "owned" and "newb", I've even heard the phrase "uber leet" not too long ago... with online games being more popular then ever (and only getting more and more popular by the day) l33t sp34k is only bound to get bigger in everyday life... as long as nobody starts saying "pwned" (poned?), we're okay...
