If they got rid of the single player aspect of the game and the phasing, I might return. However, I despise the forced direction in accessing content. It makes leveling an alt a chore and a bore. MOP moves in this direction more
I've played WoW since pre-bc and quited it in cataclysm when I reached lvl 85 and 4 other chars to +80ish.
Game lost what it had before Wotlk, I think hard-modes are boring as hell, I hate to repeat content that we already did in normal mode now to do it again in hard mode boring as hell, there is no more that epic feeling of downing a boss because you already killed it in normal and normal was way too easy, pre-bc and bc were the best days.
So many repetitive dailies to do, so much rep grinding, and you are forced to do them if you wana get those nice enchants and recipes etc, makes it really boring.
The linear gear progression is boring as hell too, no fun in this mmorpg anymore, gearing up your char was always the most fun thing for me in a mmorpg.
I have never had the urge to comeback to wow, now 0% of coming back to wow when they added Pandas, this race is non-sense, panda just doesn't fit in these kind of mmorpg fantasy games.
I had over 700 days played, was number one in achievment points for my server for years, and ran a raiding guild for 4 years or so. I walked away one day around a year ago, it really wasnt that hard, but to be honest it had little to do with the game and more to do with the community. At least in my case my server became very toxic to people who were not part of the forum click, and i wouldnt be suprised if this same thing was going on with servers other then my own.
I have had that feeling bitting at me from time to time, and i would log in for my free 7 day trial, and would find my self talking with old friends but for the most part just standing in org, doing nothing. So i got all of them to add me on facebook and in the year since i have quit we still sit in vent and chat almost everyday, tho now none of us are paying 15 bucks a month for a chat room.
