Now i dont want any major spoilers about there story line (I would like to find out in game).... but i would like to know if this is addressed in the game or maybe i missed something in GW1.

Since the sylvari are birthed from a special tree... is this the only tree of this type in its exsistance? or are they suceptable to a type of genocide where....... just kill the tree and wipe out there existance?

One of the sylvari storylines 10-20 from beta addressed this. "Where Life Goes so Too Should You" is the choice I'm spoiling. If you don't want to be spoiled for one of the sylvari's storylines don't highlight this spoiler

There was a sylvari who did not come from the Pale Tree but another tree entirely. I believe they mentioned the tree he came from was to the west of the pale tree meaning farther into Maguuma than what is currently in game. If we do see another pale tree it most likely won't be in at launch

Yes played through what was available of this storyline in the beta. I am quite sure this will a big theme for the race and the issues involved will get further explored as he game expands.

The Pale Tree took centuries to grow. Even if sylvari players end up having some sort of quest to find the cave and plant another seed, it would not effect the game - becoming nothing more than a sapling in the game - but allowing the sylvari to found a bright future for themselves.

Will be extreamly cool to find a place where another seed is planted and with time passed in game another tree to grow. Like every week or month. In few years it will be big.

There were plenty more of seeds in the cave which the one planted to become the mother of Sylvaris, but there is a lot more too it than that. They explain part of the background in GW:EN.

So just a seed is not enough even though I wonder what would happen if you plant those seeds...

But you will learn the story as you play. :)

Basically a soldier (Ronan) found a special seed in a cave filled with many such seeds. If there are/were many such, wouldn't there be a possibility of more (Sylvari/Birth Trees)?

    I tend to think so.

The honest answer is 'we just don't know yet'.

The sylvari are a new race to guild wars, and were not part of the first game in any way (they are the only race that is 100% new in GW2). Furthermore, even early in teh storyline are hints that there may be sylvari not born from the pale tree (which is the one you start out from). What this means could be anyone's guess. It could be that there are other trees out there. It could be that there are different sylvari born from different types of plants.

In addition to that, I don't remember seeing anything stating that if the pale tree were to die, then the sylvari would too. They all seem to be born from the pale tree, but they are also all independant. Have their own thoughts, and don't share any type of collective concious. However, if someone were to introduce a sort of 'plant virus' that could kill the pale tree, I'm sure the entire race would also be susceptable.
