Healer, dps and tank in one character

Hi!

I've played TSW for about a month, and currently questing in Egypt (I admit I'm not one of those hard-core guys). I'm doing pistols and blood magic, and think the combination is very good as soloing. In dungeons I usually play as DPS (pistol). Yesterday I did a little respec to become a healer, by utilizing blood-healing combined with pistol support (and healing gear of course).  This worked pretty well, and really a lot of fun, as I never tried healing in any MMO before. The game gives the opportunity to jump between different roles quite fast without making a new character. 

My question is: Does anyone know if the combination blood/pistols could be used as a tank as well? If so, what abilities could be used?

If not, has anyone found a combination of only 2 weapons that work as all the different roles? (healer, tank, dps)

Yes it could.

 

You would need two or three abilities from the MISC. tanking section of the wheel. [Agitator] increases threat by 300% there are also two taunts there you could use. 

 

Go for it OP. Pistols have some really good support abilitites like drones that heal and/or mitigate damage plus cleanse! So yeah I think you could do it.

 

I have a build that I call Spriest. Blood/Fist. I use HoTs from fists and focus channels from from blood to give the Spriest feel for actives. I split my passives right down the middle with "on hit afflicted targets" and self healing through damage. I Itemized for HP and Dmg. This build wrecks a lot of pure dps builds. I'm able to tank all but the most high dmg output builds.

I think the assault rifle works really well for all roles and has good synergy with most other weapons. Great dps, and leaching which can benefit tanking by keeping your health up while still dealing damge and some good aoe heals and other leach effects. I'm not super proficient with this game though so....

I , also encourage the OP to go for it.  The Misc trees really do well to fill in some gaps inherint in some of the no-so primary trinity role lines.

 

That said,..alot depends on the synergy of the group you are in( if we are discussing dungeons). Obvioulsy having 4 other glass canon dps in the group will put a strain on your healing

Ok, thanks for the replies. Hmmm... Interesting with the misc thing. I guess all weapon combintations could almost fill out every role then. Much of it comes down to what weapons you think are the coolest. 

I'll keep focusing on the blood/pistols build!!!

The weapons are just ways to channel your anima. "Martial Magic. None of that fairy stuff!" lol
