You'd probably like the G700. Nice little groove for your thumb when you're not using the side buttons.

Yup I just ordered it.  Same size as my previous logitech so it will still feel natural.

ugg I cant deal with wireless mice.. I hope they upgrade the old Mx518

The G700 is both corded and wireless. The cord allows you to use the mouse like a regular corded mouse and charges the battery. So if you like corded it works just like a corded mouse, however I think you'll quickly find that wireless mode does have it's usees.

I used the Mx518 for like 5 years. The one broke, optics died, within warranty so they sent me a new one. Used that one for a year or so and the cord got a break in it. I used the cord from the previous mouse and used it for probably another 6 months. I ended up picking the G700 as my mx518 replacement because I got a 50% off code from logitech, at $50 there was no better mouse. Not to mention that Logitech's warranty service is great. I actually just had my G700 replaced because the left mouse button switch was messed up. It would multi-click and unclick even when held.

hmm ill have to look out for another gift code, I get those a lot from them. I just use my mouse too often and only in one place to need to be cordless or for it to be efficient.

This is the one that I am using right now. $70 so it is not too pricy. has the 3 buttons for your thumb. completely programable so you can send what ever key stroke you want from any button. I actually set my middle thumb button to be mouse button 3 or what most mice send when you press the wheel in. but they can be set to any key you want. Also the mouse wheel can be pushed to the left or the right. I set those to Q and E so that I can strafe easily while hitting skills with my left hand. You also get two buttons in the upper left that are usually set to increase your decrease the mouse sensitivity on the fly but you can also reprogram those. That gives you 10 buttons total, none of which requires your pinky.

i had this one for about a year until it broke. was pretty decent the only thing is that its not good for twitch gaming because your hand is too relaxed (then again, neither are nagas and gw2 isnt really twitch gaming). i am using razer hex right now, its ok but its pretty uncomfortable.

Most memorable games: AoC(Tryanny PvP), RIFT, GW, GW2, Ragnarok Online, Aion, FFXI, FFXIV, Secret World, League of Legends (Silver II rank)

Yup I was skeptical due to it being cordless till I read online you can use the usb cord.  4 Thumb keys will open up not only my midifiers and dodge but also I'll be able to add either talk on vent or the 180 camera turn.  I am very happy now.

I really wanted the Corsair Vengence M60 why do they have to make arguably one of the hottest bottons on the thumb rest non modable.  image  That key would of been perfect for dodge rolling in GW2.  Logitech allows you to rebind DPI keys on their products.  Its mainly why I have always used Logitech.

I have been using the MMO7 from Cyborg for all the BWE's and Stress Tests. Best mouse I've ever bought, went from the G9X from Logitech to the MMO7, have never looked back.

OK, it is $$, about $149 shipped when I bought it. The best part of this mouse is the reduced stress on my thumb (compared to every other mouse I've used) and the BEST macro software I have EVER used for a mouse period. Take a look, its not for everyone; the price point locks many users out from the gate, but worth every penny IMHO.

I vote for the Logitech G500, awesome mouse, 3 thumb buttons, 2 scroll modes, weights, and the ability to hot swap DPI settings

Pretty much sums up what I would say. Been using this for a couple years now without issue, great for any genre.

I went from the MX518 to the G700 and I couldn't be happier. Has the thumb rest you are used to from the 518 and has 4 thumb buttons 3 buttons on the top along with the 2 regular mouse buttons + a tilt wheel adding 3 more buttons ;)

    techincally 4 but I used only 3 of the thumb-buttons.  I recommend the G500

Long story Short I need a new mouse with a 3rd button to have a dodge key on my thumb.

I recently ordered a http://www.corsair.com/vengeance-m60-performance-fps-laser-gaming-mouse.html/ but I just found out that the Sniper Button is non-re bindable so I pretty much wasted the $60 for the mouse.

Sigh, so many people suggesting razer nagas but nobody suggested the G600...

Anyways, I had to switch to using a dodge button myself, as double tap to dodge while using the D-pad on a razer nostromo  doesn't exactly work too well.  I ended up binding my dodge and jump to my razer dath adder's thumb buttons, and haven't missed the double tap feature at all (it is cool, and it works great, but you also have to interupt your movement very briefly to dodge, which can be bad in certain situations (PvP).

Something you should consider is binding dodge to Ctrl+Space (or Alt+Space), as you should NEVER be in a situation where you are dodging and jumping at the same time.

I used to TL;DR, but then I took a bullet point to the footnote.

Under normal circumstances I would agree with this.  However I could just as easily bind it to R F or C since those are normal keybinds in other games but my problem is I didnt want to have to take a finger off of a strafe button.  I might look into binding it to ctrl + shift though.  We'll see at release.

I'm using the middle (top) button for dodging and it works very well.

I've used all the mice listed except the MSI. All great mice. Not surprised at all to see the Death Adder at no.1, it is the most popular. Personally I believe wireless has become so good that the Basilisk would be my choice out of this list. Otherwise I would go with one of Logitech's Lightspeed models. The g305 can be had for $40-$50 and is an excellent mouse. You can see more such affordable gaming mouse here https://www.reviewsed.com/best-gaming-mouse-under-50/ If you want the absolute best and don't care about price, probably the G Pro.

Still the best. More than $50 for a mouse you're being robbed.
