Cowboy700Cowboy700 Member Posts: 21

So yeah guys, I just sepnt 970$ on this new computer, I went to my grandma because hes good with computers and I told him go buy the best stuff you can with this and... it's now done and I can play BF3 on ultra with 50-60 fps. I just asked him "Hey, can you tell me everything thats in my computer?" because I wanted to know if you guys can tell me if I can run GW2. Well... here is whats on the paper :D

MB ASROCK/Z77 EXTREME4 Z77 1155 R

VGA ASUS/ENGTX560 DC/2DI/1GD5 R

PSU ROSEWILL/RX750-S-B 750W RT

CPU INTEL/CORE I5 2500k 3.3G 6M R

MEM 4Gx2/G.SKILL F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL

HD 1T/WD 7K 64M SATAIII WD1002FAEX

MS WIN 7 HOME SP1 64BIT 1PK - OEM

I really don't know anything about computers D: but yeah, I would be sooo happy if I could run GW2 on high settings with 30-40 fps atleast... I all ready bought it.

i could of done better with the money but not bad overall and will play GW2 well:).. rig should run the game at max settings no problem if you OC the CPU to around 4.2-4.5 GHz

I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. If I buy a candy bar at a store, oftentimes, I will drop it... so that it achieves its maximum flavor potential. --Mitch Hedberg

if you dont mind do a little overclocking you can easily get a steady 60 fps in most places with that rig.. GW2 doesn't need a whole lot to run well

With everything maxed out with the build from the last stress test, you would get 30-40 fps.  If you change from supersampling to default, you will get in the 40s.  Things may change with the release build of the game and the new nvidia drivers coming out.  That would be the low end of your fps.

that should play it with no problem, and i doubt you'd even need to OC it, also it has turbo boost up to 3.7 on the proc so yea OC prolly wont be needed really

yea supersampling isn't worth the performance drop imho so id leave it a default.. also take reflections from all to terrain & sky and watch yourself get another  +10 fps.. also move shadows from ultra to high.. doing all those should be able to get you at 60 fps.. id also turn post processing off but thats just me I hate the bloom effect
