This is not even a troll post, latest financial from blizz states they have 9.1 million active subscribers worldwide, and if you own a battle.net account you can already pre purchase mist of pandaria in your battle.net wow account already.
So blizzard already sold 9.1 million digitally without going into retail thats all im saying.
Blizzard didnt even have to put up marketing or their fingers.

think you need to check how expansions work in china...
I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. I am one of those subscribers, signed up for the annual pass for that disappointment they called Diablo 3, and I have not and will not be buying Mists of Pandaria. My year is almost up and that will be when my sub ends, along with many many others I'm sure.
If Cataclysm sold 4.7 million copies at launch even though it had roughly 11 - 12 million players, what makes you think 100% of 9.1 million players left is going to buy MoP?

They didn't sell all the existing subscribers on Cata until well after the release date. Why would this expansion be any different? Also, the 6 million or so Chinese accounts don't operate the same way. They don't do monthly subs and they may not purchase a 'box' to access the game. Maybe, I don't know how that works to be honest.
I don't recall Blizzard ever releasing the number of boxes they've sold of any World of Warcraft product. It would certainly be much more than 12 million boxes. With an unbelievable retention rate of 70%, they would have sold 15.6 million boxes/digital downloads. I've never seen that number, whatever it is, published.
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.

4.7 million boxes is every Western player. The Chinese players don't work the same way.

I am a subscriber to the Annual Pass and I can definatly say with certinaity that I will not be purchasing MoP nor will I be renewing my sub and I know a few of my friends who are excatly the same.
I am a subscriber with annual pass too, I don't play anywhere near as much as I used to and usually just mess around on low level characters now when I am bored, I won't be buying the upcoming expansion as I am just sick of the "end game" I am happy to keep playing to enjoy the game world though as it is, but probably not for much longer.

Your logic circuits are extremely fried, dude...
You are making the assumption that all WOW players will have the latest expansion, instead of Whoever has the latest expansion plays WOW...
It's like saying all fruits are apples, instead of all apples are fruits....
Of 9.1 million WOW players, some don't have Cata, some don't have WOTK, hell, some don't even have Burning Crusade, so no...
Not all the currently subscribed WOW players will have Panda fever...
This post is very troll - there are not 9.1 million digital downloads for MoP...
I would be surprised if the numbers are even half that.
I'm looking at the new guild wars - the graphics and game play look pretty solid.
