Racial Armors

yaoming36yaoming36 Member UncommonPosts: 189

If you haven't already seen something similar or just want more information about racial armors, well check out these videos

http://massively.joystiq.com/2012/08/17/new-videos-detail-racial-armor-in-guild-wars-2/

Basically Tier 1 armor requires level 35 and costs 1 gold per peice (6 gold total for whole set)

Tier 2 armor requires level 60 and costs 10 gold per peice (60 gold total for whole set)

Tier 3 armor requires level 80 and costs 20 gold per peice (120 gold total for whole set)

Playing thru all the beta weekends + stress tests, I had managed to make about 1 gold total without doing any gem/item merchanting. Looks like these will be tough to get unless you play the market.

Not really I played BWE1 and by the end had 27g  and was lvl 43 gaurdian its not hard to make money in the game if you keep only what you need and sell what you dont. In most mmo's I have more money then I know what to do with by lvl 30 even in the 1-15 free tiral of SWTOR I have more money then I need on my Bounty Hunter like 200,000 credits 25 of each zones tokens. It all how one plays a game if you rush content you wont have money but if you spend time building money up you can have more then you need by mid lvl so when you get to end game you have more then you'll ever need.

Take DCUO F2P you can only have a max of $2000 my main has $32,000,000+ and its mostly in soda's because I save all my moneys at the beginning to get that so when I got to end game I would have money for repairs and such.

How did you earn the 27 gold? I made it to level 35 in BWE2. Can you give some advice? I mosty played PvE and all drops I usually sold to vendor because selling in the AH wasn't THAT much profit to always have go to pick it up.

It'd be great if making money was that easy, because I'd really like to buy that cutural armor

it will be if you salvage mats and sell them and gather whether its to craft or sell, also ppl made a lot of money the first few BWE's from selling their free gems.. not sure if the guy here did but I know I had a decent amount of coin by lvl 30 and I was buying stuff off the AH to craft. It will be easy to make money in game the same way it is in other games if you use what is available to you.

not sure why they dont have the charr sets but this vid at least has the female versions

edit again! lol apparently now the items arent all the same price, it shows the new prices in the Sylvari vid.

Ispend the first 3-10 lvls farming mobs while doing events. I spent alot of time fighting named vets they drop good selling stuff and then when by bag got full I would sell then buy the merchant bags to get more space then continue. to farm by lvl 10 I had 2 or 3 gold by 20 I had 16 or so and I only use it for what I need I found if you use the slavage kits on stuff and broke it down to crafting mats they sell for more so I would do that. I sold only to in game vendors no AH cause I hardly use it in any game except to get bigger bags mostly. I have a saying (If I dont earn the money myself then its not worth the money to buy.)  I use that saying in game to excpet if I dont earn it then its not worth my money to buy. Simple and it get things done. If you play games for power you miss out on how to do things other ways.

See i didn't make this money because I banked all the salvage items for crafting. I was wondering how people were buying golems on the last BWE lol

I dont want to say this but in most game the easiest thing you can get is ingame money and its not buying it through gold sellers its just selling what you dont need. Also I did craft as well in BWE1 so I made all my gear sense you dont loose progression on crafting if you change to another. I also found it easier to just go with the flow of how a game is designed like take WoW liner path play through ever zone doing your craft and killing anything you see that can drop stuff to sell and you will be rolling in money quick.

Wow, this is some of the best armor I've seen in an MMO.  I also loved Wotlk raid gear.

I'm not really into the Asura style though, but the Norn and human armors are far out.

I was level 62 at BWE3 with 35s (not even joking).  Wasn't rushing content, just playing a lot of WvWvW.  WvWvW rewards need to be balanced, but that's a whole other topic.

I watched the Human video and the level 80 armor is what i want so bad! I think its the Seraph armor set. But i thought i heard him say that you can buy the set, provided you hav e the money, at a lower level and use a transmutation stone to make your lower level armor look like it can anyone confirm this?
