Guild Wars 2 Image Speculation?

So, this image is on the GW2 facebook in the recent FAQ posting.

With no apparent relationship to the game, this has been causing a bit of speculation implicating, predominantly, a live action trailer of some kind or another for GW2.

I'm not sure of what to make of this, but I haven't seen anything on Guru or Reddit. Thought I'd bring it up here. Also:

Behind Martin on the screen, this creepy eye appears also. 

Edit: I found the eye of Arenanet thread on GW2Guru.

    Saw that on their facebook, they posted it along with an announcement about updated FAQ page or something. That definitely seems like a hint to something, and considering that's obviously a real person (can tell by the clumped eyelashes), I'd bet on a live-action trailer. They stated months ago that GW2 was definitely getting a launch trailer, they just never stated what kind. Could be anything. The randomness of this image already had me thinking live-action though.

    The eye caught me to but I seen it on a facebook post and cant go into it but yeah it seems to be something but not sure as to what. The quote under it was (Dude I'm strafing around that eyeball...) Not sure what it means but.

    My vote's on an adventurer who became petrified after fighting a horde of stone dragonspawn, the likeness of whom Eir had previously carved in a magnificent stone sclupture sans realistic looking eyes.

    We seriously need GW2 to release before people start doing background checks on the devs for possible Ingame clues and DE's.

    lol wow people are getting all Holmes on this. Some good observations on that thread, namely that the eye is on the monitor of a dev in another screenshot, and the program it's being viewed through is Windows Media Player, meaning it's a video.

    edit - Also, "GG" button under the monitor. Probably doesn't mean anything but still, lol.

    Thank god people are talking about this! I thought I was the only one banging my head against the wall for this.

    It's probably a trailer of some sort. Do you think people in gamescom were able to see it? I mean, during the entire video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69DboSfrE1c&feature=player_detailpage#t=83s) that was all I could think of. The camera goes inside the eye and into the water, and there's something floating on that water. And then there's coal/rocks and stuff.

    If you look closely at the core of the eye, you can tell that there is a map relfected on the eye. Some on Facebook say it is Orr, but I can't tell. If it is a map, what could it be a map of? Orr? The dwarves coming back? Any theories?

    That's probably a soft box. I mean, it could've been shot in an indoor studio.

    ArenaNet wouldn't go as far as putting a secret message in the reflection of an eye.

    It doesn't look like a softbox. If you look closely, you can tell there are deliberate shapes, as if it were a reflection of what the eye was looking at; an island, a continent, a piece of land with coast and a small penninsula on the bottom portion. With a picture of an eye this size and this close, I don't think its a secret messsage and I don't think its a softbox.

    The picture itself is a teaser, most likely of a trailer for GW2; the reflection on the eye I think is also deliberate.

    That "map" is camera lighting reflecting off the eyes + the shadows cast by the lashes ;3

     

    EDIT : How has no one made a "Hungry Eyes" reference, yet? Must I do all the work?
