What are your thoughts about the new ps3 and x box2

I think it is stupid that they are making upgrades from a ps2 to a ps3 and a x box to a x box 2. what can they possibly do to make the systems more better than they already are.
Please give me your thoughts about these new systems that are going to be comming out and if there is anymore systems that are getting upgraded please tell me and give me your thoughts about them

You could have said that same 2 sentences for every time a new console is about to come out, if you don't know anything about electronics, graphics, and consoles in general, that is.
Thats why im getting Nintendos "Revolution" hence the name.....

I do believe this years E3 expo will be showing them off.
Im not big into console gaming, but i will be able to see them, if they have them on display. I think each generation of console, is just a step closer to it actually being a pc.. lets see i bought a xbox for sole purpose for Fable, i played for 1 week, beat game twice(once good, once evil). Then turned it into a media center box for entertain room. So go figure. I wouldnt be amazing if the architect of the new models are going to show more pc like features.

yeah, if you look at it right, you can see consoles ALWAY trying to keep up with the pc. I mean come on! Every time they try to add a feature that the pc has had for years and years. first, online... lmao, if i am gonna play an online game, the best system to do it is pc. best graphics system? pc... best sound? pc of course... how about best controls? well... pc... you got the keyboard and mouse, and oh shit! you also have ports for joystick, racing wheels, gamepads ect...
you probably heard that xbox next is going to come with a cam so you can take your pic and put it in your profile.. pc can do that with no restrictions.
I also read and seen from the GDC expo, that they will charge for extra features, instead of making them free... and maybe even let people create there own crap and charge for them....
they are thinking of implementing music downloads straight to your xbox.. lmao pc can do this, but it is better becaue you can BURN them to cd's...
All in all consoles will always try to be better than a pc, but the pc will always win, simply because they went the route that you can upgrade it individualy instead of buying a new system every 5 years. remember, pc started out like a gamming system and there were many different types of pcs...
Sidebuster theres a couple things im going to disagree with you on... first, when the next generation of consolse first launch, they have always had better graphics than comparebly games on the PC. When PS2 first launched, it had some pretty nice looking games (for the time) like SSX, MGS2, Zone of Enders... PC had Half-life and Quake 3 (not that those looked bad, but compared to current PS2 games they werent as good, especially MGS2). Now with PS3 and Xbox 2, they will be much more powerful than all but the most powerful PCs, but since they are dedicated to just gaming they can spend more of their pwoer pumping out pure graphics and gameplay.
As for sound, you can buy some pretty good PC speakers but lets face it, you can buy MUCH better speakers for a home entertainment system. There are some games (like MGS3) that support Dolby PL2, and they sound Fantastic! Alot of games dont put enough effort into sound (Half-lfe 2 did an amazing job with their sound though).
your right, that has always been the pc's downside.. Nobody makes serious games on the pc, both you and i know, if they did, they would always have top notch gamming systems. I think quake 3 (most games threw 2005 still use that engine) and HL, were made in 1998, so the graphics where dated, but pc still had great looking games like, MoH:AA, JK2:jedi outcast, the sims ect.
EDIT: also, it looks like the pc is starting to become just as popular, if not more than consoles, we are getting games like HL2, Doom3 (xbox doesnt have the power to look like the pc version), guild wars, everquest 2, call of duty, elder scrolls IV oblivion (comming for xboxnext, but probably after the pc release, and probably wont look as good, depending on the developers and the xbox2 specs), the sims2, battlefield2, age of empires 3, dark and light 2, and most of the mmorpgs that are out and comming out.
PC's are superior, the only thing PC games need are better packaging. Console games are just so hip with those DVD cases. The PC game boxes, even though they are smaller now and days they still look dated.
