i once got banned from a web site because i asked about a mouse
i was asking about gamming mice and gave a list of 6 i was thinking about, 2 razer 2 roccat 1 saitek 1 coolermaster
then i saw on a web site that roccat were about to launch a new mouse so i asked about that and got banned for mentioning roccat too much even though id only used the word 4 times in about 4 pages of the hread and iabout 20 replays to the tread and i was asking about all of the mice
Exactly. He created an account with the name "ivehadit" and waited almost 2 years to come up with some rant as first (and maybe only?) post.

People creating multiple accounts to get ahold of beta copies when offered on MMORPG.com
i got banned because of gw2 fanboys and im about to get banned again over it.....
i really dont see how this is a discussion board when the only opinions that matter is 1 sided.
That works when you subscribe directly on sites. A friend did this for the swtor site to increase his chances getting a beta key.
However on MMORPG.com the first come - first serve rule applies.
It's quite possible to farm keys on MMORPG.com. I know people who have done it in the past. It's not easy but if you want to get ahold of more than 1 key you need more than 1 account. While I don't condone such actions.. it happens even here
It's most likely a dummy account for that exact purpose, and probably the only reason to have a passive account, which this person used out of butthurt
There is a diffrence between giving critics and feedback about design flaws or just plain hating a game.
You prolly said things like:
GUILDWARS 2 SUCKS ASS WORSTE GAME EVER YOOO LOL LOL LOL WARHAMMER HAD BETTER DYNAMIC EVENTS LOLOLOLOL
Something along those line's will tend to get your ass banned.

Having multiple account's to farm out keys to betas should be against the TOS of this website, in my personal opinion. If they didn't allow multiple accounts from the same person, those people wouldn't be as hostile and rude on these forums, or any forums for that matter. It shouldn't be tolerated at all.
Your information is irrelevant. Rules often get broken by users using various means, right or wrong. We can all have an opinion about that but it happens.. and requently

Actually it's more likely to be your threat to "fuck people up so bad that there mothers don't recognise them" tbh. The Internet must be pretty frustrating for someone that relies on that sort of approach to make themselves understood.

That tends to be the case. People get banned from forums for being "critical" and then later you find out that they often cross the line. Not saying that is the case here, but if I have to choose between the OP and the Mods, I think I'm going to go with the Mods.
1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical.
2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself.
3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose.

Yes, that's how they do it. I had never been banned before until gw2 discussion started. I pointed out some flaws in the game and took on what I considered to be unreasonable fanboys and was banned quickly, after that initial ban I found that i get banned once a week. The mods, or at least one of them, is either a HUGE fan of this game, or actually getting a little something from anet.
And for the record, in spite of all its flaws I bought gw2. I want it to be good. Who doesn't want a good game to play? But there are legitimate issues, and I guess we better not discuss them.
I don't think it is specific to GW2 but there is at least one mod on a power trip as of late. I pretty much get banned all the time myself anymore even though I post the same way now that I have as when I first started posting here.
Not much you can do really though.

Accepting that the mods here (or at least one of them) are on massive powertrips, and only selectively enforce the rules is pretty much necessary if you want to post here.
Otherwise, do what I've (mostly) done and move on. Only reason I even bother to show up here anymore is for the contests and / or giveaways, and even those are fast becoming not worth the hassle.

people dont get banned for being critical. usualy it's a single word in the post that got abit over the target.
for example, this user here gets a ban, makes a new acc and tells everyone how he is ban evading. seriously, you wonder why he got banned in the first place? i dont ^^

I made a gag post, literally just for laughs and to lighten the mood because peeps were sooooooooooooooo serious. It was titled "I want to troll you all" and the content of it was pretty obviously a quick joke, everyone that responded in it seemed amused, but mmorpg mod decided that it was in need of deleting and I wasin need of banning. Its cool, some people just lack a sense of humor and/or take themselves to seriously. I full expect to be banned for these last few post. Can't be challenging the orthodoxies on these boards.

You obviously got banned for your attitude and not for your post being negative.
Creating a 2nd account like this is not very smart either, its against the rules. It almost got me a half year ban, when i did it some time ago, with no other reason then being able to keep on posting (Was banned 3 days for calling a troll a troll)
Moderation is pretty strict on these boards, if you dont like it you ought to find forums elsewhere that are far less moderated.

Aye, me too, sir. Tho as a troll of sorts myself at times I do tend to recognize them. Problem is, by calling a troll a troll I think that counts as baiting, which ends up in all negativety. The point I'm trying to make here is that your avatar picture is cool. That is all.
