I plan on buying the red GW2 hat from the store when I get in game. There...I'm supporting them.
>_>
:P
I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. If I buy a candy bar at a store, oftentimes, I will drop it... so that it achieves its maximum flavor potential. --Mitch Hedberg
Done. I don't have an issue with this. I will probably buy bag slots. A HIGH quality product such as this along with a company of professionals with no subscription fee deserves support besidse the expansions which will come.
From Arenanet's own calculations? Do you have a citation for that? You do understand that people do need raises, healthcare programs, etc? You must be living in a fairy tale world :P. You can't seriously say that ArenaNet calculated every form of risk factor the company could face, there are tons of unexpected costs associated with any business. I intend to support ArenaNet in the long run with my wallet .
Hey, I'm planning on giving Arenanet my money (I've already bought 1 collector's edition and 2 regular editions. :P ), I'm just saying that they've already been on record earlier saying that the sub model is not needed to support a game, that just the price of boxes can support an MMO.
Other video games use lots of programmers too, you know. Plenty of B2P games manage to pay off all their programmers, raises, healthcare programs, etc (And still make a massive profit). All the server costs for all the NCSoft games were easily paid out of the profits from GW1 alone, even in the past few years, long after the game was new. :P
There's a difference though, between 'making your money back' and 'making a huge profit' though. Of course, like any company, they'd prefer to be further on the 'making a huge profit' scale. :P
I don't begrudge them making a profit, but I'm not under some illusion that they'll be broke unless the cash shop is heavily used.
Bank slots are about the only thing I see myself buying. Maybe some character slots way down the road but other than that I will get what I get in game. Don't think anyone needs to feel obligated to buying from the cash shop for any reason but theres nothing wrong with supporting something you believe in so........
I have no problem spending up to $15 a month in the shop since that's what I would pay for any other AAA pay to play MMORPG. At least here, I can choose when I want to pay.

I'd rather have P2P than a CS.
Not going to support an awful subscription format.
Following your logic, you certainly haven't bought this game and don't intend to buy it. So... what the hell are you doing here? ;-)
This is even more funny because you are praising Diablo III in your previous posts, by the way... cash shop is bad, but pay to win real money auction house is not bad? Talk about double standards...
Having never used AH nor RMAH and the "Cash Shop" is not affecting my gameplay at all, I'd still praise D3 to heavens. Even TSW beats GW2 when it comes to subscription model.

ArenaNet is a class act. I'll support them.

Definitely doing this, plus bank slots, and eventually character slots.

Ofcourse, 14,99€ every month into cash shop!
You encouraged people to support ANet too?
