Game is unplayable with such lag

in Guild Wars 2

I didn't lag ONE bit in any of the BWEs, but now the game is unaplayble bc of the lag.

 

This smells of Anarchy Online.  Did Funcom make GW2?

    First 20 mins were flawless for me. But then people found out avbout servers being up and It got worse. Login is down.

    Actually, I didn't have any lag or issues during The Secret World's headstart- perhaps GW2 would have been better off if they'd had a hand in it. :D

    i hope you at least got the name you wanted for your character. i created 4 characters all the names in mind were GONE :~(

    The game is supposed to launch in 2 hours and 16 minutes from now so even they opened the servers earlier they are still patching stuff till then.

    So they are just taking advantage of the 3 hours prior to launch so everything can go smooth when the timer hits zero. :)

    Some people in chat said they were 100% ok as well. But a bunch of people said they were lagging like crazy as well. We needs a hotfix.

    Yeah I heard people in chat say they were fine too. My framerate was okay but the lag was making it unplayable. Didn't experience anything like it in the beta weekends or stress tests so I was hoping it wouldn't be like this. Oh well, guess I wait some more.

    Its to be expected service would stutter or be a bit iffy on launch... but damn. This game makes Burning Crusade launch look stable. One of the worst MMO launches to date. Sorry, I can accept it being laggy, but at this level its jus rediculous.

    Ive never seen a launch with such bad lag...........I mean our server Crystal Desert?

    is horrible......utterly horrible..

    Jade Quarry, no lag for me. I can't get past the human tutorial though, after I kill the golemn hands it just loads with me still in the tutorial. Several other people there with me, too, so it's not happening to everyone. Killed it like 5x, tried remaking, nada. Going to sleep ;3 Will play tomorro when I'm like, lucid, give them time to do what they need to.

    Guys is just a stress test.  Remember that argument.  Remember the fanboys still denying it when we said that diablo 3 used the same fin arguments and it didn't work for them either.

    Holy crap I'm shocked release is as bad as the stress test.... WOW...

     

    CAN WE STOP USING CRAPPY ARGUMENTS FOR STRESS TESTS?  Pretty please with a cherry on top.  For all future games, if a stress test goes bad, the launch had a REALLY good chance of going terrible also.

    Calm your beans Mr. If you realisitcally expected to have a positive gameplay experience in the first hour then you clearly haven't attended many lanuches. Not saying that things will be perfect, but you gotta wait at least a few days before you start with the full scale whine.

    got my toons made and 3 of the 4 names I wanted were open. Got ingame andthe lag outside of the intro areat got bad. Not really unexpected but I finally gave up on the third time it kicked me to desktop. Going to get mesome sleep and try again when I wake up, server will still be here tommorrow. No need for nerd rage

    lol quit complaining about lag in the first 20 minutes when everyone is swamping the servers. If you havent noticed the game isnt even technically out yet. still have about an hour and 45 minutes left

    Edit: I bet theyre probably kicking us out on purpose. My guess is they put the servers up to allow us to reserve our names.

    the servers went up initially exactly 3hrs befor your OFFICIAL headstart, just like wrote they COULD on their informative.

    I'm having tons of lag and I've been booted twice now too. I don't need to be told to calm down though as I'm not upset. Just saying what is happening isn't a crime.
