in Guild Wars 2
So I'm gonna go surfing instead.
What are you going to do instead of play Guild Wars 2? Other than stare at your computer screens while thinking/complaining about how this is the "worst launch since Space Shuttle Challenger, or Titanic". I'll check back when I'm done. Be creative people!

That's just silly. It's a video game that will be around a lot longer than the next few days. Even if the servers don't become stable for a week...they still have as many years as they want to play it. People are just cheesed off because they don't know what to do with their lives instead. That is why I'm trying to encourage people to think of alternatives. Go do other things, and the game will still be around when you get back (and maybe even up!). If it's not, it will be up later. It isn't a race, and it isn't the end of mankind as we know it. It also isn't the end of GW2 unless people care enough.
Anyway I was just changing so now I'm on my way out for reals
We are just chilling on mumble with guildies, and since we are most if not all REAL mmorpg veterans (unlike the trolls here), we are just laughing at the situation. We all have our names reserved, so we can now wait until ANet fixes the issues that happen during ANY popular mmo release.
GW2, just like WoW 8 years ago, is victim of its own popularity. The server are hammered. I was honestly expecting this to be MUCH worse.

obviously I'm dissapointed they are down.. but honestly look at the number of servers then look how many swtor had at launch.. my guess is pre-release players is very similar in numbers and even swtor had issues with that many servers.. no hardware out there can handle this amount of players hammering on it at once
I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. Was expecting this can prepare only so much but a big release like this will always be extremly busy . I am just happy i could reserve 2 names i wanted and i finaly have the performance i should have for the first time realy didnt think they would have fixed my problems before launch .
Did dl the latest beta drivers and the game runs perfectly at 55 fps steady now on everything maxed , only dips to 30 ish with loads of stuff going on but mostly steady 55 even in bigger events , before i was happy to reach 40 fps with not alot around so one happy guy here , now just need to find a nice , mature guild in the couple of days
