Random tips

As someone just pointed out in another thread, there isn't much of a tutorial. Also, we all know there isn't a game on the market that covers all aspects of a game. Please post your own.

My random tutorial/tip: Banking and collectibles.

Open your inventory. In the upper right side there is what looks like a cogwheel/options icon. Single left click it, and it brings up a menu. The first option is "bank all collectibles". This can be used anywhere in the world. It will take all your harvestibles, random drop crafting mats, and the items you salvaged and place them in your collectible bank. NOTE: this is NOT your normal bank, and count nothing towards your actual banking slots!

There is no reason to put any of those items in your normal bank. Nor do you need to find a banker to use any of those items. Approach a crafting station and open it. On the left side there is an anvil looking icon, some bag icons (one of which is your actual bank) and something that looks like a 9 square grid. The grid is your collectible bank. You can draw everything you need to craft from there (except vendor items).

You get two 'weapon' slots which in turn give you an entirely new set of skills that you can switch with one click.  I went from Sword to Gun and this type of variety is what makes the game more fun.  I can not only experiment with different weapons, but also with different skills that accompany those weapons.   So I recommend experimenting with different weapons, variety is fun.

Going underwater not only changes your weapon type, it also changes your pet (if you are a ranger) and you utility skills. While some utility skills work underwater, many dont, so the first thing you do when you go underwater is check you have only equipped skills that work while diving too. Theyll stay changed next time you dive again (and the old skill bar will come back when you swim back to the surface) Some skills behave differently underwater than on dry land.

I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. If I buy a candy bar at a store, oftentimes, I will drop it... so that it achieves its maximum flavor potential. --Mitch Hedberg
