I dunno, but this one was pretty big (I was waving Hi to mom )
If in 1982 we played with the current mentality, we would have burned down all the pac man games since the red ghost was clearly OP. Instead we just got better at the game.
My feeling is the once you can no longer confortably show an entire creature on the screen, the game needs new mechanics to deal with it rather than just treating it as a larger circle on the ground with X million hit points. Let players get onto the creature as if it was a moving platform - make fighting it an entire adventure of climbing, swinging and searching for soft spots rather than just swinging swords at its toes.
Rift had a pretty big one in beta as well although I forget the name. Hundreds of characters all trying to take him down and it still took 30 minutes. Awesome fun.
Nothing beats the Shadow Wars and Bael'Zharon though...so many awesome memories of dying.
Einherjar_LC says: WTB the true successor to UO or Asheron's Call pst!

If google images are showing the right in-game version Bael'Zharon isn't even close to being as large as original Molten Core Ragnaros- and he's hardly a speck compared to many EQ1 dragons. I'd have to agree with Robokapp though, if ships count.

Wow, I gotta admit, GW2 sure is a damn good looking game. Such a shame it does nothing for me, that looks like a lot of fun.
As for the OP, I would say something in EVE.
How about "Tarinax the Destroyer" from EQ2.
You can see the players under him
