Seems strange that the GW2 forums would be down

Seems like it would be a priority to keep them up especially since the game is being launched soon, and all the preorder people are already playing. Especially the support forums for people who might be having problems.

I don't blame Anet.  All the forums would be is bitching and people asking the same questions 1000 times because they don't know how to use the search function

thats what the forums are for. Rather it there than spamming questions in the game?

No. ArenaNet have learnt alot about other MMORPGs. Better to have a comprehensive FAQ then the stupid spammage every MMO forum suffers at launch from and waste time. People are too damned stupid and lazy to even use a search function on forums half the time to get their questions answered. Harsh but true.

that forum is down is maybe the least problem ArenaNet have had this weekend. Trading post , guilds and partying , needs to work and work reliable.

i realy disagree with you m8, i have been having client crashes all weekend (about every hour).

During beta it never crashed ONCE, so i would like to find a solution at the forums at GW2 forum but they are down so the only way to get support is by mailing the support who prolly has ALOT of tickets right now......imho on the most game forums i get more help from the member then from the devs themselfs (yeah not all forumdwellers are bad :p hehe ).

The faq on the GW2 support page does not even have a single solution when it comes to client crashes (i didnt find any usefull ones, except for the one with the -repair shortcut witch i will try this evening).

Yep, they are having problems and don't want that splashed all over their forums where on the fence and future players go to find out how the game is holding up.

This doom and gloom thread was brought to you by Chin Up™ the new ultra high caffeine soft drink for gamers who just need that boost of happiness after a long forum session.

The priority is the game, not the forum.

Sure, in a perfect world would both be up but I will choose the game any day.
