Game is fun fresh and addicting. Have not had that feelling for another game thats come out of recent since EQ1 and then WoW. You all know that feeling im sure.
People will hate just to get a rise out of ya. Give the game an honest try you will be pleseantly surprised.

There are alot of post trashing GW2 where you can tell, if you have been playing the game, that the person talking trash couldnt have possibly played. Dislike the game, write about why you dislike it, thats fine, but the outright lies its just getting out of hand. "Plagued with bugs" is a perfect example of this. The game is so far from that statment its not even funny.
Hopefully the mods will start heavily monitering these forums and take the trolls out to the curb with the garbage where they belong.

All I know is that I tried GW1 for a week, hated it. I played this for now about 3 days and two betas..so far love it. Stupid statements dispelled lol.

Not really. He did say to try it for yourself. The title would more appropriate if it said "Don't believe the hype". When all is said and done, you can't dislike a game you haven't played. I learned that with WoW.
However I'm still loving the game, andwould be perfectly content as long as they get the trading post up.
..but it's posted on the internet...they can't post anything untrue on the internetz...can they?
I haven't played GW2, and I think it's a good game. I was at a friend's earlier watching him play, and it's a good game. I'm sticking to my "launch date + 1 month" rule for MMOs though. I'll be in on Sept 28th hehe.
I'm not a hater but a sceptic and also a GW2 player. The game is fun to play in a beautiful world but the story is the worst I've seen in any game. GW2 is worth the money but personally I'll be skipping all story. And yes, my 1st MMO is TSW which has spoiled me I think.
You're trying to turn this into something that it is not. Whatever helps you sleep at night I guess..
For the past 6 months I’ve avoided everything GW2 related to avoid over hyping myself, played all day yesterday for the first time, cannot think of a single negative about the entire experience, (and I tried) this was literally a perfect first impression.
I admit its a matter of taste, and I can understand (sort of) those that dislike it for that reason, but I don't recognise the game some haters are talking about.

If you have played GW2 for more than an Hour and have leveled pass 11 then yes, you will find all the posts bashing GW2 funny.
Not only are they basing their opinions on something totally untrue, it just makes you want to correct them.
IS GW2 perfect, nope, every game have its flaws, I just haven't found it in GW2 and like many said, its the honeymoon phase, so it might be hard to find one atm.
But placing your judgement on untrue statements is just wrong, why not use truthful facts when stating why you dislike the game. I think many will agree with you that it might just be the thing ANet needs to strengthen in.

That is definitely a problem for ANet, the Tradepost and the falling through the world. A guildmate had it happen to him a couple times.
But see, an actual truthful negative. The tradepost being down is definitely something we didn't expect to happen as gamers.
But still, I give ANet credit for creating a game unlike all the others I have played. And for that, I will wait till Tradepost is back online.
D3 had their Auction down for a while as well, whats going on with Auctions and Tradeposts. Guess they do cause problems.
