Guild Content

i am trying to understand how everyones is ok with the lack of guild content and the missing factor of raiding in GW 2. the DE just dont fill that void for me. and the WvWvW wait is just depressing. i like getting a large raid going and learning a strat and working hard to bring down that raid boss.  well MAXMMO you can get your guildies and go do DE.....its not the same for me it feels very dirty and wrong lol.

I just like the change.  Raids were getting boring.

I'm honestly missing the guild halls we had in GW1 aswell but we are supposed to get our guild halls through a update soon so I can be patient and wait till its ready. :)

Together with the guild halls we will probably also get the guild vs guild pvp aswell.

For now you can do the following to have fun with your guildies:

    - make teams and enter the structured pvp (up to 5 people per team) to gain glory and grab some items from the npc as also to gain ranks for achievements and titles.

    - I know that the WvsWvsW have mostly queues but what I'm doing is try out (as example) the jade quarry, when I see it is full, trying the other 3. One of them mostly works and I'm immediately in (did that together with guildies aswell and it worked).

Sometimes nothing helps and you have to enter a queue so you can enter it and go do other things or let it be and just:

    - explore together

    - do dynamic events together

    - do dungeon runs together

    - do personal stories together (ups the difficulty and gives more xp/rewards too

    - create a event for your guild that people can participate by having a prize for the winner ;)

    Many possibilities there.

I find raids to be the most static and repetitive crap to be introduced to MMOs since EQ. I also am here with my old UO/SB PVP guild so I've got plenty of guild content ahead of me.

Your problem isn't lack of guild content, it's lack of raids. Hope that helps you understand things better.

Well, to me, raids aren't that special. Just more instanced dungeon crawling. Harder yes, but still.

OP, it's been known for a long time this game won't have raids (atleast for the time being) and Anet is interested in them. If you enjoy raiding, that's prefectly fine and it's your type of fun, but there are plenty of mmorpgs that satisfy your taste.

Many are players Guild Wars 2 for other reasons beyond guild content and that's why it's a game for them.

    GvG pvp > raiding

Although I agree with the WvW ques, getting old but hopefully the dust will settle.
