POLL: How much of Eberron do you know?

I am just wondering how many people know about eberron. I want to start explaining more about eberron, but until I really get an Idea of how many people understand and know eberron I wanted to start this poll.

    Long time D&D pnp player.

I know its the new world they have.

Don't know a thing about it. I'm happy with all the materials I do have already from 1st and 2nd editions. I can't see needing a new system when I've got worlds to play in as it is. The sheer vastness of them alone allows me as a DM to create new and unique adventures for my players essentially forever.

I am still rather attached to GreyHawk. I don't keep up with much that Wizards of the Coast put out, my group still plays version 1 and 2. I have the core set for 3, but I haven't used them.

I've seen pictures, and it looks like Final Fantasy 9 (small flying boats and such, really tall thin buildings, very colorful, alot of wierd species were there too)
The picture was in PC gamer. I thought it was very interesting.

I have never heard of this land. I only play 1st or 2nd edition PNP.  Oh well old DM's don't like to learn new tricks LOL... If it's not Ravenloft or Planescape i tend to ignore it... unless the planescape adventure require such image

Like what was said earlier I'm still addicted to the World of Greyhawk. I really dont know why they didnt just stay with that world. Gary Gygax had it right with the 1st edition rules.

I like the idea of utilizing a new setting. This opens up so many new areas that will not be known to the players. Endless posiblities!

In a way I'd have preferred to see the Greyhawk or FR setting because those have always been my favorite, but I'm also kinda glad they went with the newer world. This way you have FAR FAR less people bitching and complaining because something in the game isn't how it was in one of the eleventy billion books written on the world or in the game it isn't the same as they've always pictured it in their heads etc.

I haven't actually played PnP D&D since I was maybe 10 years old... some 22 years ago (dang I'm getting old :(). Most recently, about 3 years ago, I did live with a DM that held weekly games for a group of people. I listened in on a lot of the games, but was too involved in my online gaming....playing Everquest.

I'm excited about the release of D&D, mostly because the developers seem very involved with the community and are not afraid to discuss some very "controversial" topics. I really enjoyed reading about spell casting and the problems they had balancing that out.

    I love involved developers :)

Yep, 1st and 2nd edition player here too.

    Know nothing about Eberron.

Valid point earlier though.  With so many unfamiliar with the new setting, it should cut down tremendously on the "rule hawk" complaining.

Ya, FR or Greyhawk would have made more sense as they are more the de-facto settings for dnd. However, Wizards has sunk alot of money into their new Eberon setting and they are really trying to push it hard. I can't blame them. Personally, I think Eberon is pretty good. It's pretty much a standard setting with very advanced magic.

That being said... If I had a choice I would have had a Dark Sun settting. It's much more origional and in my opinion, interesting. Sadly, Wizards isn't currently developing any new material for it.
