Hey this is my first posting on MMorpg, the only MMORPG i have played are ashens empire and runescape very sad indeed. I was debating If i should purchase WOW, but i have a connection of only 28.8 kbps and i was wondering if it is still possible to play the game. I already ask the techinal support about this and they said no so i might as well ask others. Also i'm kinda new at updating computers how can i make my connection better, I am in a location where I am unable to get DSL. Any help with my two questions and i would be gratful

If you want to play any mmorpg out there, you might as well have at least a 56k connection. If you dont have DSL, try and get 56k or at least faster than what you have now. I survived with 56k on Everquest for nearly 2 years, but not sure how far you will be able to go with 28.8k
28.8 i doubt will cut it... you can't get DSL huh?? it was like that at my home for awhile but we were able to get cable before they offered DSL. maybe thats an option?? not sure how much more cable costs over DSL so that may not be an option... something to think about though. i'm sure you could get on and play with a 28.8 but you wouldn't really be able to play effectively. you would have tons of trouble using your skills in a fight with a monster in the game and you'd have no chance with another player. can you upgrade to a 56k? i've heard some people say that they play on a 56k and don't have too much trouble (more than someone on broadband) but they do enjoy playing so it can't be too bad.
