Pre-Orderedt it... I figured if nothing else at least its probably better than most AAA games out there... I'm having the blast I thought I'd have. The graphics are nice, and I'm a huge fan of the art style. On top of that... This game beats the crap out of every theme park game out there. It seems to have alot of substance and immersion. I 'feel like I am part of the game' I guess would be the way to say it. When I am playing a MMORPG, I want to feel like I am having fun and GW2 is the answer to that. Does that make sense the way I said it?
I know some of you hate it, and I feel empathy for you. I wish you could have the same fun I'm having. Anyone else agree?

Earlier today I was running around in one of the Charr lands and noticed a huge giant was pummeling a little fort and had almost killed everyone in there. There was only a few of us players initially but as the fight went on, which btw lasted about 10-15 minutes I think, people just poured in and at the end there was a horde of players poking the giant until it finally crashed.
That stuff just does not happen in other themeparks, fun and unexpected Or well, I'm actually expecting something to happen eventually no matter where I run
Been playing MMOs since UO, been hating them since WoW, and yeah, loving GW2
When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world.

Ive played two games that are quite similar to this. Rift and Warhammer. Guild Wars 2 has taken some elements from both of these games and have slightly made it better. This is a good game but for me but it is nowhere near great.
then why discuss it? not that I really care.. just still don't understand why people hang around game forums they hate so much.. very odd to me.. but what do I know right?
is it you feel cheated? or is it retailliation because someone praised gw2 in the game forum you like so much? just curious
I angered the clerk in a clothing shop today. She asked me what size I was and I said actual, because I am not to scale. I like vending machines 'cause snacks are better when they fall. If I buy a candy bar at a store, oftentimes, I will drop it... so that it achieves its maximum flavor potential. --Mitch Hedberg
Funny you are posting in the thread about liking the game and the one about disliking the game yet you are telling people who like the game not to post in the other thread.
Trolling like a pro. I ran into you in GW2 last night, you were the Veteran Cave Troll right?
It's the big thing at the moment. Lots of talking points revolving around GW2. Personally I don't like the game, but I find it quite interesting; the whole polava of launch, the hate, the trolls, the fans, the different opinions of the game, it's all interesting, especially to someone who enjoys posting on this site.
fair enough but I have read many of your posts and at least you try to add things to the conversation unlike many who just constantly say nothing more than this game blows and its the worst ever and such

I played Rift and Warhammer, neither of those games made me feel like this. Rifts were very predictable and un-interesting, Warhammer's PQ's were a lot better imo but they recycled only one sequence in a very static manner. Feels to me like it's done right this time most of the time and feels exciting and fun
Um...you are simply making a counter thread to this one anyone else just not like the game? with words changed around for the positive...
"Bought it... I figured if nothing else at least its actually F2P without strings... I just can't get behind it though. The graphics are fine and all, but I'm not a big fan of the art style. On top of that... This game is like a fast food version of every other theme park game out there. It seems to lack any kind of substance or immersion at all. I 'feel like I am playing a game' I guess would be the way to say it. However when I am playing a MMORPG, I want to feel like I am in a gaming world. Does that difference make sense the way I said it?
I know lots of you love it, and more power to you for that. I wish I did as well. Anyone else agree?"
Sorry man but that is a lame thing to do.
But hey, I love the game .
Looking forward to EQL and EQN.
