Although, a lot of those points are subjective and opinionated, I have say it was fun for the couple months I played (single player mode).  This game doesn't handle massively very well, so an an MMO .. umm it's not that great.

btw I would use links if you have a song that is worth hearing.  Various YouTube channels have all the SWTOR songs.

The one thing that will carry on with this game is the music.  The CE soundtrack was a cheap EA sham (only a dozen and a half songs?, out of hundreds?), but all the songs are on YouTube anyways.

I enjoyed my time in SWTOR. Felt a little too closed off for my personal tastes, but overall it is a well made game. Glad you are enjoying it!

Star Wars features elements such as knightswitches, and princesses that are related to archetypes of the fantasy genre.[15] The Star Wars world, unlike fantasy and science-fiction films that featured sleek and futuristic settings, was portrayed as dirty and grimy. Lucas' vision of a "used future" was further popularized in the science fiction-horror films Alien,[16] which was set on a dirty space freighter; Mad Max 2, which is set in a post-apocalyptic desert; and Blade Runner, which is set in a crumbling, dirty city of the future. Lucas made a conscious effort to parallel scenes and dialogue between films, and especially to parallel the journeys of Luke Skywalker with that of his father Anakin when making the prequels.---http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars

I actually stopped reading at the obnoxious red coloring. I actually agree with a lot of his points (except for hutt ball...I just dont like it). I just think the game has so much room for improvement and if they borrow some stuff from GW2 the way they borrowed from WOW it would be a hugely improved game.

Agreed. I think both the combat mechanics and the social game could be improved by borrowing a bit form GW2, yes.

Allowing the classes to really dodge and hide behind cover (unlike the current smuggler mechanics) would make the combat more interesting. It would fit the game fine and make the combat system feel less Wowish.

And while the singleplayer part is good the way you play together with other players need improvements.

Also, the mobs seems to be standing a lot and just wait for players to walk over to them and kill them. Have them patrolling a bit more would also make PvE a bit more interesting.

I don't care if I stare on an avatar with glowstick or green chick with big ears for couple of hours. Theme is part of the game but it's not really important. Gameplay is important.

2° this is the most impportant thing why i think swtor is the best mmo. well take a guess why i think this but here is a track: "SW" (it's not difficult )

    3° LIGHTSABERS Woot!!!!! lol

Star Wars make this game best ? Really ? I know that there are real star wars fanboys out there but come on - you want to tell me that lightsaber alone and star wars franchise will keep you for hours in fron of your PC ?  I will repeat - what make MMO best is gameplay and features that it's offering.

4°: i like the pvp here, it's true they need make World PVP with rewars but i like the pvp

First time doing PVP ? In TOR you have few arenas with 8vs8. I yesterday alone in other MMO fought with my guild against oponents over a castle. Around 60 people in one place and siege weapons. And our leader was cordinating attack using TeamSpeak.

Don't even try to compare it to PVP joke SWTOR is. I stopped doing PVP and open PVP in TOR quite fast. PVP alone is boring after a while since we were doing 3 arenas over and over again. And by applying little of tactic in 2-3 people we alone were winning every hutball there was.

And on to pof that my friends guild was warned for doing PVP.... on PVP server. Because they invaded Republic teritory taking control over it. Bioware is a joke. TOR PVP is a joke.

5° the voice is amazing. don't u like hear to malgus or satele shan or perhaps Mandalore ? heheh

I agree that voice was a nice idea. But it was waste of time and resources doing it for every kill & fetch quest in the game. And they have voiced every dam quest. Because of that you can forget about new content in reasonable time.

6° the leveling is very nice, it's good when you make another ALT and you don't have the same class story

But soon you will realize that you must repeat EVERY KILL & FETCH QUEST THERE IS over again if it's a same faction. Same quests in same order, same place, same objectives. Everything the same. Game is boring. 99% of the content is kill & fetch. Go kill X and return. Backtracking is hell. One of the worst and boring leveling I ever encounter. Your class storry is probably around 1% of the quests.

7°: PVE, The pve here is very good man, the operation are amazing and entertaining, (i want to play the new Operation right now )

Then you should start playing single-player, story driven RPG. Because operations are like single-player games with co-op. Maybe you really don't like MMO and it's because of that - you like TOR ?

8° The gameplay here is awesome. and i know i played Tera but i still prefer the gameplay of SWTOR

I don't agree here. Combat is borin and static. Most of the time you stay in one place. Sometimes you kite enemy. That's it. It's all about gear. You need to get specific gear so content you want to do will be easy. That content will give you next tier of gear so next thing will be easy. And it's like that from the bottom to the top.

I never had hard time in TOR. It's a game for children. I wont say what MMO I'm playing NOW but at least in this new MMO when I'm doing a dungeon - I'm doing it for real. Because if you don't pay attention and you don't work with others - you will be wiped out

9° Legacy, this about legacy i like it, it's pretty awesome.

Most things in legacy are useless. Legacy systems was created because in this game - there is END. So poeple start over and over again with different characters just because they ENDED their previous character. Legacy is a reward for repeating same content over and over again. No immersion or connection to your character. Make new toon and play with it. And then do it again. TOR way of doing things. Repetitive and boring.

10° Hutball woot!!! i know this is part of pvp but i love Hutball, it's like american football heheh

As I said before - hutball COULD BE FUN if people would know how to play it and it would be designed around current classes. You know how to play hutball ?

    1. Send stealth class to enemy base.

    2. Give ball to sorc

    3. Make him do force sprint under the bridges. You don't care about bridges, you don't care about flames or enemies. You sprint for a second under the bridge. Your friend decloak and you throw him the ball. He score 9/10. This way we were able to finish every hutball in 2-5 minutes with 6:0. Before medal limit we were doing 5:0 and then we were grinding medals on enemies until time was up or they quit.

Hutball is too stupid and too easy. Imbalanced and easy to cheat.

May the force be with you always

    You too, have fun.

If you are wanting these changes, they are 3-5 years out, from the current update potential this game has.  Seriously.

I'll totally agree with mobs just standing around waiting to be killed, but people have complained about this since BETA! .. When SWTOR had almost a million subscribers (1.7 mill, but only 850k+ subscribers early 2012), this was the time to make changes, But EA Bioware sat around the whole last 8 months with their thumbs up their butts.

So currently, the game has ?? < 300k players?  There isn't enough funds to make these changes.  Yes I realize the last earnings call said 500k (actually 500-1000k, but who are we kidding?), Xfire and Torstatus shows this game tanking, hard.  There is no money left to do anything with this game.

Just Hope for a better SW MMO the next time around.

I wish it didnt come to this, but there are more reasons to hate this game than there are to love it.  Such as it is.

If you enjoy a game and think it's fun, by all means play it, I personally found the game to be lacking in many departments, I enjoyed the story but I couldn't justify paying a sub for a game that offers little more than a standard single player RPG.

Because he said that swtor was not a fantasy game when the whole star wars franchise is based on (princess) leia getting saved be jedi (knight) luke skywalker. There is nothing else to be said. His entire reasoning is flawed. Star Wars whole ip is nothing more then a Cyberpunk Fantasy movie. I even used a quote from the wiki.

Yet, with some simple 1+1, it's easy to undestand that what the OP actually means by "not fantasy" is "not traditional medieval with elves", and that he's glad that it's in a futuristic sci-fi/high-tech setting instead.

I do miss SWTOR almost daily. I will check it out again when it's FTP for sure.

Good that you found a game you enjoy, over a million people didn't.

If it's not broken, you are not innovating.
