For all this game's larger faults, the one that's actually bugging me the most is the fact that your sPvP gear skins (Not the stats of the gear) are stuck in the Mists and your PvE gear skins are stuck in the larger world. This doesn't really matter much now (Except forcing you to grind the same looking gear twice, which is always fun), since nothing is prestigious (Except maybe legendaries, but that still takes little actual skill to get) and the gear is identical from PvE and sPvP, but if the game ever comes to its senses and adds truly ranked sPvP seasons which provide unique prestigious gear skins, I'd only be able to show them off in that tiny and ugly sPvP lobby and in matches, and if I got a legendary from PvE, I wouldn't be able to show it off in sPvP. And if they came to their senses for that too, they'd probably make the prestigious gear have parallels in both sPvP and PvE like they do now for their current gear, and just make the prestigious sPvP weapon look the same as the current PvE legendary, largely ruining the prestige because people don't know which way you got the gear and what it tells about you. There's just too many levels of Arenanet needing to come to their senses. Do I have any comrades in this thinking? Let's high five!

I agree with you. One of my gripes is that sPvP needs to have some really awesome looking things to work for. Also they need to remove some of the items required for making Legendaries that require PvP. They need to make some that can be aquired through PvP only and PvE only.
