PS2 Help Me

This game seems very bad, but I think it might be because I have little to no idea what I'm doing and there is no decent tutorial/intro.  Can someone here provide a link to a "getting started" youtube video or forum post that outlines the key things to know for a new player?   I don't mean how the menus work and how to spawn in, I mean what the goals are, how to contribute to those goals, etc.  What should I be guarding, and why?  What should I be attacking, and why?  That sort of thing.

 

Alternately if any vet who knows the ropes wants to give me a run down on vent/ts/mumble that'd also be great.  Thanks!
