Anyone installed WOW from scratch recently ?

I havent bought MOP, i'm thinking of buying it but for that i'll have to install the game from scratch.  I remember it takes forever to install and patch this game.   What would be the fastest way to install WOW from scratch all the wayt to the current version ?  If i buy the physical copy of MOP does it comes with all the previous expansion on the discs ?

Last time i installed WOW (Cata) it tooks almost 2 hours between switching discs and waiting for patches.

    Easiest way is to go to your battlenet account and download from there. You can set up pretty quickly as it is a staged download and install meaning you can start playing before the whole game has finished installing. It will be sizable though as the whole game installed is somewhere between 16-20Gb now.

    It must be Thursday, i never could get the hang of Thursdays.

    If you have MOP disc use it and then patch this will be the fastest way to install.

    The entire game is 21GB atm, it takes maybe an hour max to download it untill playable even on an average internet connection(its playable form about 30-40%...) that is unless you live in the US and not in a major city :(

    WoW online installer lets you play before it has completed the download. On fast internet connection about 15 minutes and you can be playing. But my internet connection is 30mbps. On slow internet connection, or if you have to pay for bandwidth used, I think installation discs would be better.

    I know two friends, who have played this game for a long time. Before MoP came they had to download a 20 GB patch.

     

    I tried downloading the installer off the website and launch it, and guess what... Required 20 GB download.

     

    Even I, with only a 2mbit, downloaded like for 30-45 minutes and then the game said I could start playing. It didnt say it was optimal or anything, but I had the option to actually play the game.

     

    I'm still only like 69% into downloading the game, and I play it every single day.
