We just celebrated our third Birthday (right after celebrating 3 Million registered users.) and we are continuing to grow month after month.
Thank you to everyone from here that gave us a chance and helped us grow into the fantastic game we are today!
Young women from all over the world are now growing up on MMOs!
Grats, you really hit a niche there. And if you are looking to get the standard mmo crowd in your game then how about this: StarStable, 50% more registered users than Archeage!

It's a lot sadder to see such closeminded people here. You'll probabaly better off away on Mars
That said, it looks way better then the stupid barbie horse games my daughters played when they were young. They sure would've liked this game by the looks of it. So I'm glad that MMO's are expanding to other target groups then the standard dinosaurs that live on this forum.
I seriously came here thinking this was going to be a slam post on Star Citizen - you know, so far it's a collection of ships for your stable (ship stable I mean).
Glad to see a product like this though. It may not be a typical genre seen around here, but if there is an audience for it, then why not.
It's a sub-game that knows its niche and says it out front. Sounds nice enough to me. Hell, they even describe their game as "Free to Try" instead of "Free to Play".
The MMO genre would be a lot nicer place if more MMOs were honest like this.

So you are allowed to your opinion but I am not allowed to mine, speaking of close minded, you better look into the mirror.
This game from the get go, discriminates read the prints "only for girls"?

You had me at "rocket to mars". I'd totally be up for that. Love the sci-fi stuff.
If you are insinuating that I am nuts, or the idea of a "female dominated interest" targeted MMORPG is a poor idea, then that is definitely your opinion and you are entitled to it. You wouldn't be the only one with that opinion.
When I first started looking into this company I was also more than a little skeptical. I remember thinking it was bat**** crazy. It made me really uncomfortable...which was totally the point of joining up.
Nothing changes and innovates like the game industry. The first MMO I worked on almost didn't get built as some people weren't certain the "internet" would last and might be a passing fad. Innovation comes from outside the comfort zone.
I'm now very comfortable with the idea that this site is full of 100's of other MMOs made for the same group of people...with the exception of Star Stable Online...that while being fun for anyone, definitely had a different kind of users in mind when we started making it.
We've made a great game and we are still growing three years after release. Not a lot of MMOs can say that...what we did was definitely not mainstream...but we must be doing something right.
Thank you for looking at our game. We didn't make it for you...but we appreciate you taking an interest in us.

I think the worst part is that the game actually looks kind of awesome. I was about to start playing it after watching the trailer but then it ended with "Are you one of those girls?" and I was like oh right, not meant for me.
browsing the newly posted mmos.. and what do i see... a FB game O-o based on horses.... what sweet mother of all that is pewpew is this junk?
8 bucks a month to play horsee... really... and you can make your own horses.... MAKE MY OWN WTF....do you like cut their legs off and fit other legs on???
i so do love the play on words... world of horsecraft... lets all jump on the WORLD OF bandwagon... world of dingdongs and wagon wheels next plz im hungry...
seriously though.. how the hell is a FB game based on horses a MMO? how is that even a game warrenting 8 bucks a month to play it??? @_@....
i think ill buy a 1 way ticket on the next rocket to mars... this world... its just not worth saving anymore
And you were going to save the world how? As far as i'm concern you can fuck off to Mars and no one will miss you.

It's an interesting look back at least IMHO, considering that the game is still getting advertising here at MMORPG.com, too, which kinda proves the OP and other haters wrong. Although just having advertising doesn't necessarily mean it's alive but... it probably is if they can still pay for marketting, I guess?
I don't see the problem, many people like horses so a horse simulator isn't more strange then a car simulator.
Hmm, there might be a big MMO horse lobby when I think about it, the whining on the forums whenever a MMO releases without mounts is incredible high after all.
Not tha game for me though but I can see the appeal for people with the interest.
It's interesting that if a game doesn't fall into someone's definition of a "good" game then it gets bashed and is a pile of trash.
My daughter loves this game and can spend hours running around questing and taking part in different events for the horses and riders. There is a great social aspect to the game for those interested. I think the game is fantastic for really young gamers, my daughter is 5, as well as those who have a love of horses and animals. I paid $50 for a lifetime subscription when they had a sale and my daughter has been provided with entertainment well worth the money.
In my honest opinion Star Stable has more to offer their niche community than most AAA games.

Being overly dramatic is so fun.
I mean, I wouldn't play it but I bet there are a lot of kids (and perhaps adults).

The fact it actually released, (was?) playable and heavy featured content...makes it more successful than any early access and kickstarter MMO.

I kind of hope there are people playing it! (there seems to be a video released 3 weeks ago so "good for them").
