LF basic casual MMORPG

ShorunShorun Member UncommonPosts: 247

Hey guys!

I'd really appreciate it if you could recommend some good MMORPGs. I'm looking for something really basic, as I am a casual player (1-2h a day max.).

I really loved Earth Eternal. It had nice classes, fluid combat and animations and it ran perfectly (I don't have a high-end PC). I liked the open world and the short but entertaining dungeons. I also played WoW since vanilla and liked it back then but I hate that they got rid of all the aspects the classes used to have (e.g. warriors dealing as much damage as mages).

I also liked EQ1 and EQ2 but they just were too time-intensive for me. I also tried Pocket Legends, which I liked for its accessibility, but the missing open world is a no-go for me.

I do not mind grinding if the overall game is fun and features entertaining dungeons and a open world to explore.

Thanks!

If you are looking for a casual MMO, WorldAlpha might fit the bill.  It is a bit more on the MMORTS, with a focus on Economy, Military and Politics.  You can play in as little as 15 min a day, or get engrossed and play for several hours.  Closed Beta coming in November.

    Thanks,
    Mike

Thanks for the tip, but I'm more looking for a RPG, I'm not really a RTS fan.

Just a regular MMORPG which isn't too easy or boring and doesn't need you to quit your job in order to have fun.

Uh what? Warriors are more op than mages right now. You might not be doing it right.

Play Lotro, laid back and fun game as long as you don't play it more than 2hours a day.

    Guild wars 2 obviously

It's very casual friendly, there's no fear of getting begind the gear curve and having no one to play with. There's no worries about not getting your moneys worth by playing less hours.

Also would have said coh, but shutting down :(

I really love this game! But right now I can't afford a PC to run it...

Go play an action game if your casual.  People like you ruined our genre, I'm sorry and no disrespect but that statement is an oxy moron.  MMORPG are not suppose to be "casual" or basic.

    Time to fix this genre.

    GW2

    It is made for casuals

You don't need a great PC to run it, just put graphics at minimun.

Unless you have a 486, it should work.

idk wat to tell you but save up $1k and get a good pc and grab GW2. if you were saying a basic casual MMOFPS, I'd say WarZ or DayZ or PS2. I wish you luck. Each game has it's own casual side.
