LFGame - Immersion&Population are key.

I've played a dozen games, beginning with UO with last one beign GW2. In March, I took a break from the genre when I hit 50 in SWTOR. In september, I returned with GW2, played really casually but got bored easily. Though the game is very polished and offers variety of stuff, I never felt sucked into it. I'm not a hardcore raider or gear geek by no means, but in GW2, every facet feels disconnected from each other. No world pvp but instanced WvW, not enough cosmetics (no mounts, cloaks), no progression, crafting has no imporant role. Spvp is nice but feels like Counter Strike, logging in, playing a few maps and that's it. Lack of immersion is the main reason why I did not like GW2.

I would prefer a sandbox game, I must say I don't like Eve, not that I hate space/futuristic settings, I just HATE beign a spaceship. Darkfall and Mortal Online failed miserably from what I see, but I keep an eye on new Darkfall. Fallen Earth is in my radar too, but I've heard bad things about the game.

As for theme parks, no Wow, AoC, Swtor, Eq2, Vanguard, Aion (did not like the art, terrible furball critters) and Lotro (actually Lotro would might do but no PVP kills it). Rift I have tried a little, but back then I had a bad rig so I might wanna give another shot. Secret World got me interested, but I've heard the game offer not much other then the story ( and environment.). So to sum it up;

Rift (basically offers what wow offers with more eye candy and different classes etc)

Secret World (I liked longest journey too, but funcom always lacks in features and things to do)

Fallen Earth (Would you guys suggest it, how would it be for a newcomer?)

So what I want is immersion to go along with a healthy population. I want to do crafting-gathering (want it to matter - but except for the sandboxes it never matters, atleast make it matter while levelling), want some random pvp encounters (can be faction based), fine with instanced pvp&dungeons if there are factions and contested territories) Housing would be a plus, I heard rift exp. will give instanced housing.

I know no game out there offers what I want. So I'm trying to find a middle ground here, something to get me hooked a little, maybe the feel of progress or survival?
