Pirate 101: Official Launch Day Arrives

KingsIsle has announced that the doors have swung open on Pirate 101, the latest game from the Austin studio. Like its predecessor, Pirate 101 is a family friendly offering, this time focusing on pirate-y goodness.

 

Yo Ho, Ahoy and Avast! KingsIsle Entertainment today launched its second game Pirate101, the highly anticipated follow-up title to the massively successful Wizard101. The game enables players to take the helm of their very own pirate ship and explore a grand story of intrigue and mystery. The vast and breathtaking skyways of the Spiral are now open for adventure!

    I wonder if alot of people are a little hesitant with this title because of the way that they handled payment for Wiz 101?? I mean by level 5 or so you could hardly go anywhere without getting the premium area only messages.

Fun game, these people know how to make fun games for anyone.  Good for a family to get involved and very inexpensive.

I think you will find the payment is like wizard 101, though the game play is slightly different. Honestly, I liked wizard 101 but I'm just not feeling the love for this game. I feel almost more like somebody watching the tv than actually playing a game.

Pirate 101 is a game that are designed for family to play together. Developed with younger players in mind, the game boasts a safe gaming environment that is created by the selection of features such as the pre-set character names, pre-selected menu chat and even a master password setup that allows parents to select game features for their kids.

As a Grandmother I am enjoying the game. I have played Wizard101 for 10 months and  have 5 wizards. My grand daughters got me playing the games and i am thrilled. I actually feel young again. Thanks for giving an old lady some real fun and keeping my mind active. At my age it is fabulous.

I played wiz since the begining.  i love it.  but this game I like more for some reason.  I didnt want to like it.  But my girlfriend and I play it.  My daughter hasnt.  She still plays wiz sometimes.  I think KI did really well with this game.  Keep up the good work
