You will have no idea who you will encounter,it is a game of survival and trust.

If i'm out of water and i'm thirsty and i happen to stumble upon you,i'm going to take your water either by killing or robbing you.

People will do anything to survive.Though i agree that it is much better to go and scavenge in groups,i don't trust others.

It's a shame but it sounds like they wont develop pve servers even though that would expand their pockets, there's a very vocal group in the warz forums that say the game would be meaningless without pvp, which I say is a load of crap. There is an endless sea of games designed with no pvp, sure pvp is a slice of the pie of the developers intended experience, but it is not the whole, and there is PLENTY of fun to be had with the other slices.

With that said, the inclusions of pve servers would not hamper on pvp servers in any way. Ultimately the arguements seems to boil down to "well it would take the developer focus away from the pvp", which is already a giant assumption, but if that's where the money is at then why shouldn't they? (which I doubt, considering how armed assault II is STILL on the steam top-ten list).

Anyways, it boils down to pvpers wanting to force their gamestyle on other players, seriously the inclusion of seperate pve servers in no way, hampers gameplay experience for the pvpers, considering how these servers would be segregated, but their response? No way in hell.

Do people do zero research before getting involved with a new game?

It's a game designed around PvP and survival. I'm so god damned sick of people trying to turn games against the original design all because they didn't do any homework before they started playing.

The devs are not going to change the game into anything PvE centric, so if you don't like that concept then it's best you leave now and save yourself the wasted effort.

So what happens if ten or so people band together and form like a 'walking dead' like pack?  They could protect themselves from getting ganked, secure resources, etc.  If gameplay is this flexible I might check it out.  I'd definitely organize a team to hold it down.

Pvp is but one facet of the games intended experience, it's focused around survival, and player interaction, player interaction does not mean pure pvp. The other facets of the game can infact hold their own judging by youtube videos...

This, unless you allready have someone to play the game with. I dont think its worth buying.

I had high hopes for this game, right up until I read it was strictly PvP. Those people saying there will be a strong community within the game are dead wrong. The only community within this game (IMHO) will be among the highest gankers. Most of the people who buy this game to play will burn out after a month of rage quitting. (Because you know there will be those losers who will be waiting just outside spawns to kill the newly resurrected.) I can already see the home boy rat packs ganging up on the solo players.

    Not my cup of tea.

There are way to many other, better games out, or near release for someone to play a game they have no fun at. This one will be gone faster than SWTOR.

10+ years ago this game would be worth it. Todays community is full of tards and immature people. This game wont have a good standing with the mature crowd. I love pvp, most every mmo i play pvp but there is pve content also which i can pick and chose.

My friend bought the legends thingy this game offers and said he was ganked and killed soon as he logged in, this is not for me. There has to be balance. I highly doubt if this realy did happen in real life it would be a free for all for every human left. We would have to work together at some point.

I like pvp, but not the gankfest and lack of humanity style this game seems to be like. ANd i have been wanting a zombie style mmo for a long time ( i hate orcs, elfs, and little magic using fairies). But i just dont see the longevity of this game with its current system.

Why is it when the very, very few PvP focused games get announced we get  "hurrr why isnt there gonna be PvE servers, this game will fail hurrrr gankfest hurrr greifers hurrr"?

The overwhelming majority of MMO's are PvE based. Please go play them and leave us alone.

^^^ This.  I was talking with somebody the other day about Ultima Online.  And it's funny, even with full PVP, Looting, and in the early days house raiding, etc..  There was a level of honor among the playerbase, that if a game with similar freedoms were given today, every idiot on the planet would flood and destroy it.

This is probably for another topic entirely, but I understand why every developer makes nothing but controled environment 'theme park' games... Because today's players can't be left alone to make their own choices... They have a mission, a goal, to ruin everything...  Give people choice, freedom, and they'll do everything they can to fuck it up.

Hey TSW Players http://www.unfair.co/ for Mission guides, Lore Locations and stuff....

To the OP: By just reading the title of this thread says a lot of about your (imo) linear playerstyle and that this game isnt meant for you.

The cancer your talking about only plays games that are simple and easy. Make a game hard and open and the cancer goes away pretty quickly if it even arises at all.

Moral of the story, kiddies and i want it now cancer wont be bothered to invest time an effort into a game.

It's going to be broken by hackers and become hackfest, just like dayz.

I agree it is like going to EVE forums and start moaning that it is not more pve focused.
