It is the correct norse version of the word, and means people who wore bear skins while fighting. The naked thing has been abandoned.
Which makes sense considering most of AV's higher up staff are from Norway.
The video was decent, but didn't really show much. It sparked a lot of speculation including how overpowered chain CC's, specificially knockbacks will be (for a second time, since DF1 is already wof+firemagic spam).

Well on the plus side, with the new role system everyone cant be all things at all times. Hopefully theyre smart enough to seperate the major CC abilities from the most devastating attacks. That way you'll kind of have to choose between having massive CC or killing quickly, and only be able to achieve both if working in tandem with teammates. If so, oull only have to worry about a portion of players throwing a ton of CC at you instead of nearly everyone in the game capable of spammng you with WoF-like skills.
