Everquest was well worth the money. Every expansion and every monthly payment from 99-12. I have more time and money put into this game than any other game combined and multiplied by 1000.
Darkfall was worth the money for the enjoyment I got from it, and I am sure DF:UW will be worth the money.
SWG was worth the money.
WoW was not worth the money.
AoC was not worth the money.
MO was not worth the money. I did have a good first week or two though.
SWTOR was not worth the money I put in... this was literally the worst MMO I paid to play.
TSW I do not see being worth the money as the game was incredibly boring.
Rift I will say was worth the money... it is not my kind of game but it was worth the money, liked many features they had in the game.... and they seem to be updating more and more (not that I have played in forever).
worth the money.. hmm. wouldn't play all these games anymore, but looking back i'd say..
GW2 is on the list. 60$ for all the time played is a no brainer to me.
Rift is well worth the monthly sub. and for some reason i get free time whenever i have an issue in game. think i've only payed for 3/4 of a full year of Rift. ty Trion CS!!!
FFXI would be on the list as well, but i still have bad dreams about lfg in valkurm dunes.
i guess i'd have to say WoW (man that hurt). i got my enjoyed time worth out of the game though.
i'm sure there are others. sub fees are chump change when you think of how much time you can spend in these games.
I pretty much got a month more of fun from almost all MMO's I've ever purchased with the exception of DDO which didn't strike me well for some reason.
Wait, I take it back, WAR was the other big disapppointment because I quit playing in just a few weeks when I realized it was nothing like the DAOC2 successor I had hoped it would be.
Best values? EVE, DAOC probably at the top but no real regrets with all the rest.

Anarchy Online.... So glad I bought that game. It was a completly new take on the MMO system.
And pretty much all the others.
SWTOR is the only one I regret. I knew I would be disappointed and upset by EA Origin and all their crap. I bought it anyway and game them more money they did not appreciate
"This is not a game to be tossed aside lightly. It should be thrown with great force"
WoW (Wotlk being... eh, others before it worth it)
Rift
FF11 (bought it twice actually, 2nd time for the Xbox 360 with extra expansions)
Aion
I'm really having problems naming others haha. I've paid for Ragnarok Online though its was a monthly deal when I did and was worth it. A lot of the ones I've bought were disapointments. AoC was a big meh to me and GW2 (latest) I honestly would of been iffy spending $20 on, nevermind $60 (blame Torchlight 2 for giving me more hours of play and a lot more fun with it). Most games I buy tend to not be MMos, I usually go with the F2P options, usually more 'freemium' choices then anything else.
Just not that many MMos that are Pay 2 Play that really have stood out over the years and the ones I did have been very lack luster and to the point I regret purchasing them. I usually stay away though GW2 baited me with the B2P model which I quickly learned the game just wasn't fun enough to even bother picking up to play later and ended up getting a refund on.
Even though most of them sucked for long term play, I still thought they were worth the box price for the leveling up portion of the game. I basically think they were pretty good single player games with 200+ hours of content, much better then your average RPG. (yes this even includes SWTOR)
Playing: GW2 Waiting on: TESO Next Flop: Planetside 2 Best MMO of all time: Asheron's Call - The first company to recreate AC will be the next greatest MMO.
The first MMO I spent much money on was EQ...Played for about 5 years and probably spent 1k on it...It was a fun game but not worht the money.....I dont think I have played one that was worth what they charge for it.....THe only game I have is a browser game and its only 2-4 dollars a month....I dont really consider playing games on par with a round of golf, a night at the bar, or anything else that people like to compare the value of....TO me, vidoe games have always just had the box price and that was it...Once the monthly stuff started I never felt like it was worth it.
The only mmo I ever felt I didn't get my money's worth on was SWG. Rift was close, but I got it on a steam sale for 4.99, and I can't quite bring myself to think that I didn't get 4.99 worth of entertainment out of it.

Yeah, this is how I have felt about most mmos these days.
I would have to say that FFXI tops my list (playing for 7+ years and still going strong). Followed in a distant second by Aion. I just started to play GW2 at launch so that title is still up in the air atm.
If I look at hours of fun / money spent, I am realizing the majority of my most worthy games are not actually MMOs. Now if you ask only MMOs, I would say Vanguard.
However I ve had more hous of fun per euro invested from games like VGA-Planets, Diablo II or Oblivion.

In a way, but truthfully $60 isn't all that glamorous anymore. Torchlight 2 cost me $20 (free actually considering I won it on a stream, thanks Pwna) and It brought me a lot more fun then GW2 that cost $60. Theres games out there that are indie that have brought more entertainment and time consumption for 1/3rd of the cost that makes me feel like those $60 price tags aren't worth it for what fun I had in some of the games I've played. A $60 game should blow me out of the water and the few I have done MMo wise just have been lack luster or even poor.

I paid £35 for The Witcher 2 and it bought me a lot more fun than GW2 in fact just about any game i've played has bought me more fun than GW2.
Other than that i would say every other MMO i've played has been a lot of fun, some more tahn others.

Yeah, this is how I have felt about most mmos these days.
Ultima Online early 1998-2005. I still have my account active to this day I just don't play all that much anymore.
