Thinking about purchasing the matrix online

Well with the recent release of the Matrix Online and the fatc that the movies were great! I decided on buying The Matrix Online but then seeing all these matirx online sucks threads and the matrix online will destory your computer threads I want some of the real players to clarify this for me.
Will the matrix online Destory my computer?
Does the matrix onlline suck?

and the game is excellent, only if you like interlock. if you like boring stale looking combat, go elsewhere.
I've really rather enjoyed the beta.
I think this game has alot of potential in its own way.
I like the way they did the skill system.
if you get a chance to try it for yourself please jump on it.
Then again I recommend people try before buying MMORPGs.

The community is great, and there are RP teams who play teh main characters from teh movies, in teh game itself. Between tehri deeds, and the actions of the players, teh story progresses constantly...not just at events.
I recommend you try it.

dude, if you spent anytime playing any mmorpg, the matrix is pretty weak....theres nothing to do....the grinding is even kinda beat....
but there are some people who luv this game, so this is a game that people hate or luv, but as a gamer, i think its fuckin wack
mxo as of 2 and a half weeks ago gets a C+.....i'd rather play coh again, but wow is the best thing out, and if you dont believe that, yur completely dumb....shit, i'd rather give eq2 another roll before actually buying mxo...
theres no other games being made right now that can compare to wow or eq2...it sucks its that way.

Unfortunately, I tend to agree with your rather gloomy assessment. "Gloomy" because neither game appeals to me.
As I'm still vaguely (?) interested in the MMOG concept, I occasionally take a peek and look at the various forums for specific MMOGs to see how these MMOGs are developing.

well, I've been playing MxO with very little sleep for 9 days. I tend to type a little too fast, and well...it happens.
Oh and Necbone.....go smoke another one. I'm sure teh pretty colors in WoW are more youre style, but that doesn't make WoW > MxO.
It's all in your opinion, and taste. Personally, I'd rather be castrated with a rusty hack-saw than play another phantasy mmorpg.
I enjoy a sci-fi game with continuing story. Probably why I played AO and Necoron and SWG. But none of them had teh sense of continuous progress, or main characters running around hanging out with other players.
I always got a ways into one character class, and got wondering about teh otehr classes. So I ended up with a bunch of alts, and it was rare that I would actually cap one.
MxO....man...wanna switch classes? all of 5 seconds at a HL and you're swapped out.
Anyway, yeah. I guess it's a love/hate game....maybe that's why tehre's only a red or blue pill, and no purple
blizzard is not that bad man....thats ludacrous....they currently have the biggest game in the USA, they're getting hammered by hundred's of thousands of people all day and at primetime its insane; no mmorpg could handle that properly....and blizzard is one of the only game companies to give me free time for their fuck ups...they have a good product, the people have spoken.

Anyway I'm thinking about trying this game also, it's hard to tell if it's good or bad just due to all the trolling...

ok, i was quick to say "stfu" im sorry. however did you play on the Q&A server or w/e it was? becuase that was way different from just normal beta. and yes it did change a lot from normal beta to retail. and yea it really does matter if you played retail or not. if i only played WoW open beta i would say it sucked too becuase it was dumb and i only leveled up to 16.

yes. try the game. The game is awesome no matter what people tell you. these forums are anti MxO, but the game is fun. it seems 60% of people dont like interlock, so instead of just saying "i dont like interlock" they go and bash the game for other things people really really enjoy, like "the missions suck" which they dont. and then they go on and say no more facts about it because they only played BETA
