Umm...I think he actually meant "Buying and operating Earth and Beyond does not fit within those strategies." I may be wrong, but he plainly states that CCP does not buy other games, and acquiring Earth and Beyond would be doing just that...

Yes, most likely he accidentally left out the not. The grammar would be awkward if it were not there, and his previous sentence implies that they have no interest in purchasing the game.
While continuing to work on EVE, CCP is also working on a new MMORPG that is supposed to be awesome. Maybe it will be something similare to Earth and Beyond....

Yeah, seriously I'll jump on the bandwagon, try and get a link to where ever you heard of CCP making a new game and guys ... seriously ... take the time to read what people are saying sometimes ... in the first post in was quite clear that the CCP representative said they do NOT buy games by other manufactuers and that buying E&B would consist just of that. Which means: no, we won't buy it since we don't do that sort of thing.

Someone one EVE-O once quoted an email from a dev in which he stated that CCP is working on a new MMORPG. I would find it but their forums have no search option, plus odds are it was deleted or removed shortly after being posted. Also odds are it was quite likely a hoax.
