Gamebryo isn't a fps engine though, I think daoc was the first game to use it, or Morrowind forget which came out first.

Gamebryo version 2 was war, rift, fallout3 and oblivion.

I'm not aware of any fps using it.

I'm suprised no ones used source for a mmo, particularly dialog heavy games like swtor and tsw, as source does good lipsync and what have you.

Another one would be serious engine for its ability to throw lots and lots of stuff on screen, and its scalabilty, it seems the most suited to a mmo of any fps.

What's the point of this poll? Of course, a game which was released 2 months ago will look prettier than MMOs which were released 4-9 years ago.

It's like asking what's more graphically appealing? Call of Duty Black Ops 2 or Half Life 1?

    /facepalm

So I guess Crysis (released in 2007), arguably the best looking game of all time, doesn't look as good as say...Halo 4? Your logic is flawed, dude.

Crysis was a game which was created solely to showcase graphics for their engine. That game was all about graphics, to the point it wasn't functionable as most people couldn't play it at release. I would still say that Halo 4 looks much better than Crysis but then again Halo 4 is restricted by the current console hardware. If we had the next generation consoles now, Halo 4 would've blown Crysis out of the water, not that it doesn't at the moment. Crysis is not a representative example.

Still how can you compare GW2 to LOTRO, EQ2, WoW? If I had to say all these three had much better graphics when they came out. Hell, even GW1 had brilliant graphics at release. But comparing games graphically across such huge time spans is just stupid.

Mission in life: Vanquish all MMORPG.com trolls - especially TESO, WOW and GW2 trolls.

If you have actually played City of heroes, the graphics are the best I've seen in a while.

TSW both in fidelity, performance and stability.

Crysis looks better than halo 4

Also if halo 4 is anything like its predecessors it plays much better too.

Halo is the most overrated game series of all time. Closely followed by cod and bf.

I know I will get jeers here...but I think the obvious answer to this question is Final Fantasy XIV. I know the game has some issues (which have been made very infamous over the past few years through bad publicity and dissatisfied review), but one thing Square Enix has always had at their advantage is stunning graphics...even when they design a game that is, in every other way, a total flop. I am eager to see what FFXIV 2.0 will look like...I am expecting to put some quality time into it. Laugh if you like...but three cheers for the Manthra; i will finally not have to blush about it.

Can you read slant-lettered words without moving squint-strained lips?
