Can't wait to play DFUW for years.

There have been millions of dollars spent on kickstarter projects that are merely ideas and no game to play. People want something fresh and different.

    Edit: one example

The company will shutdown with the game within 1 year of launch, guarantee you that. The original was pretty much close to dead after a year.

This is their last ditch effort to gain money back and I know the game will be empty within 3-4 months once ppl see its no real upgrade and the same old crap.

They hid the game til launch for a reason.

    GAME TIL YOU DIE!!!!

Because they are focusing all their resources on making the game instead of advertising. Now we're both assuming things, are we not?

Uhh... buddy? Aventurine has been doing better than most MMO devs. Since they launched Darkfall their team has grown from 20 devs to 60. They've moved into a bigger office building, attracted publishers, opened a second server, and are launching a total overhaul of the game, for free.

They aren't about to close. But be my guest, let the conspiracy theories fly.

I suspect it'll only be a matter of 2 or 3 months before DF:UW becomes as empty as the original Darkfall.

There's no way that a game as complicated as an MMORPG can be properly done without a beta.

Free open betas aren't betas at all.. It's a way to hype a game.

    Yup spot on there!!!

They don't even do a closed beta either. They know people will leak the info and they will lose 80% of sales because the game is terrible the same as the original game.

i'm really looking forward to this game having previously last played seriously a mmorts with heavy pvp focus and far to much pay2win involved this looks to be a nice change of pace from the long waiting times that are inherant to mmorts games but i love the idea of full pvp loot and all.

Played Darkfall since NA launch, the game was never empty...you could still have solid numbers at sieges and thats how you know, as well as seeing movement amongst holdings.  The reason it felt empty was the massive map..
