Being somewhat of an EQ2 newb, I have to give SOE credit for the Mentor system, it has been awesome so far to pull our guild together so we can go through the same lower level conent every when a few people are leveling faster than most.
The average guild level is still on in the teens as folks settle in on what class they want to play as their Main character. If you would like to hang out with some cool folks from MMPROG and more importantly actively play through the EQ2 content from level 1 - 95, head over to Antonia Bayle and look us up. Guild: I N S T I N C T.
Had a nice heritage quest run on Wednesday and a good level 20ish dungeon crawl last night. Still really active in chat and ever growing. Pretty awesome group of basically former strangers that have come together pretty quick. Guild is ALMOST a week old and it's looking like we'll be here for a while!
Played: EQ1 (10 Years), Guild Wars, Rift, TERA Tried: EQ2, Vanguard, Lord of the Rings Online, Dungeons and Dragons Online, Runes of Magic and countless others... Currently Playing: GW2
I am downloading the game right now and then I am going to sub this wednesday so i will be f2p for a little bit I will more likely make another character after I do sub.
F2P for a short time will not hurt you much except for limited choices on race/class. Once you get higher lvl and running things you will want to be able to wear the gear that drops. Also the broker etc.
Ok so were holding steady at 86 members and 60 accounts. We all decided to allow for 20 more accounts so that we can compensate the ones who will leave ofr other games ect.
Most members are 20-30 in lvl right now. So its still a good time to join if your interested..
I N S T I N C T We are in guild finder .. average 16 online at a time ..
The guild is really nice and holding steady at a nice healthy level, with still a ton of lower levels and higher folks that need AA from the low level content to group with for new starters.
Originally posted by Seelinnikoi I would join if the guild is solid and very active. Though I would need to buy the whole game and expansions, but I love that game.
Before you run out and buy the whole game, jump in a play with us.
The guild is one of the most active I have played with in a long long time, we will be two weeks old this Monday.
The guild is getting organized, we have a vent server, a website and have a few events scheduled each week and impromptu Dungeon runs almost every night. The guild has over 80 players and 60+ that were active just today.
You can easily start as Free2Play to get a feel for things and meet everyone, if you like the guild/game you can always upgrade as you get higher level.
I'll be back at it by tomorrow! Without internet as we're moving into a house from our apartment but will be making a push to get a bit higher in levels this week and into the weekend.

I'm returning to EQ2 after reading this thread and would also like to join if possible, i logged over to AB and did a /who I N S T I N C T and nothing came up, also tried the guild search function and couldn't find it along with looking for a few members listed in the thread. Is there a way im missing to try and see whos online in the guild?
Reinstalling now and will look for one of the recruiters if you are still looking for players. I have all xpacs up to just before the latest release. BTW as I am open to any class is there anything the guild needs?
I never played EQ2 before. Is it worth starting at this point?
Just want a quick few opinions. Also is this guild EU or US?
though there have been plenty of changes in the game and though the game is top-heavy it is most certainly worth at least a trial. it is f2p after all.
if i were you i would get in on this new guild start up, roll a couple of characters to see what you prefer best and see what you think of the game. all it will cost is a download.
honestly, im immersed in Vanguard right now or i would hop on this opportunity to level with a group of fresh players/characters.

What is the state of this game? Is it fully f2p, or are the p2p servers still there. I am not into f2p games as they tend to become p2w, but if the sub side still exist and people still play I'd be down to come back.

The f2p is basically an extended trial for SOE games. You can get max level, but can't wear the more rare gear. There are locked classes and races with the f2p option as well that you can buy individually to unlock them. Easiest way is to sub really and it unlocks the whole game just like before. Don't think there is a completely f2p server.

Do you still get all the expansions if you purchase the most recent one? Also, how obnoxious is the cash shop??

I'm not sure about that TBH. I bought the expansion that gives you the Beastlord class and mercs and didn't get the one right before that. All but the most recent 3 are free and I've heard from some people that the 3rd one might go free soon with the release of the newest expansion.

hmm.
I am not sure why your search failed, maybe it has something to do with the spaces between the letters of the guild name.
If you press "U" for the guild list and keep clicking the down arrow we are listed atthe 12th position atm.
There are three recruiters; Krytaria, Meilay, Dethevincus
