It has just occurred to me that in TSW progression speeds up the longer you play unlike every other MMO I have played where progression slows down. This is another way that TSW bucks the trend eh?
You get more xp and therefore more ap/sp. But you have to remember, the last 2 abilities cost 34 to 50AP. So, yeah you get more points in the later game, but if you want to go deep into a branch, it'll take over 100 AP to get to the elite skill.
The really good point in this is, that if you want to start another weapon, you can easily fill the whole inner wheel after some quests. So its easier to start a horizontal progression than max out the vertical progression of a weapon. Diversity is important in TSW.
Yea that's true, but just to put it into perspective it doesn't take long to get your first 100 ability points, and for anyone reading who doesn't know the game I'm a little over half way through and have earned over 1000 ability points. I have a DPS build and a Healer build and am already beginning to look into a 3rd build. This is all on one character too.

If you don't mind me asking, what's your DPS build setup like? I'm building up my Grifter deck (Shotgun/Elemental) because I like the outfit, but I'm always interested in alternatives.
