The best ability in real life is taken from WoW (i am sorry about that as well) - To transform yourself into a dragon and take ppl on your back at will (and drop them o/c whenever you get sick of them)..

EDIT: and if you are a mage you can just slow fall and watch them die horribly form the fall while gliding towards the ground....
Probably my favorite character class ever. The enchanter from EQ about when Gates of Discord came out. Charm, Mind Wipe, Summon a Pet, Stun, just all around awesomeness.. Just about everything but heal and ressurect. What is not to like?
