After reading all the good and bad reviews posted about Matrix Online I decided to take a chance and get it. The nearest place to buy it from me is 60 miles one way, so I drove there bought the game on my debit card and drove home. I installed the game and created an account, inserted the payment method as my debit card, and tried to log in. When I tried, it said that my account was disabled due to a problem with my billing options. I went to the account page and noticed that the expiration date if my card was listed as 03 instead of 02. I changed it and clicked submit, nad when the account summary came back up it listed 03 again. I tried to change it a few more times and it keep changing the expiration date to 03. I called their tech. support and after 30 minutes, the guy told me to call my bank and talk to them about the problem ( I have no idea how my bank is supposed to fix the Matrix online's website programming errors, btw). He also said I could go get a game card and that might work, but I am not going to make a 2 and a half hour round trip to spend 30 more dollars on this. anyway, just to be sure I called the bank and checked my balance to make sure it was more then 15 bucks. Then I tried a different credit card to see if I could get billed on it, just so I'd be able to play ( I'd rather it came out of my checking account instead of on the credit card however). After inserting all the info., and double checking to make sure everything was right, I went to activate the account. To do this you need to insert you 3 digit security code from your credit card, which I did. Then an error window pops up that says the code must be 4 numbers long, just to prove a point to myself I put in 1111 and clicked submit. Just as I thought, a window popped up saying the code must be 3 digits long. I called back tech support, and was told they can not activate my account on their end. currently I have a ticket in to have some one "look in to the issue and get back to me." If at all possible I would return this game in a heart beat, but we all know that is not going to be allowed, but I will say that I definitely won't be paying for a second month, if I ever get to play, no matter how great the game is.
I have no idea if this game is good or bad, but I can definitely say that their tech support, while pleasant, is terrible and that www.thematrixonline.com seems to be coded by a high school website design class.
Sorry the post is so long, but I just needed to vent about this crappy situation.

A bad situation to be sure, but I've had an account problem in the past and it did get fixed. I'd hate to see you miss out on a great game just because this world is dependant on money.
