Thanks to dulfy,
Here's a detailed transcript: Clicky
Few things to notice:
- Massive? influx of players with F2P. However doesn't tell if they spend money at all.
- Non subbed players will soon be able to buy more characters slots.
- Expect Illum in march with PvP and more... new amazing buldings mention in PvP note (lol)
- New itemization in Makeb, ie your gear will become obsolete.
- Makeb supposedly soon but suggesting at the same time Republic isn't done.
- If you aren't in the top tier in PvP, gear wise, you'll keep being ganked but they'll try you not to...
- Space "secret project" not dead but don't expect it before say... 1 year?
- Focus on milking players with new cartel packs each month
- Weekly updates on market during holiday
- Chat bubbles, ready check, ... on backburner.
- Legacy expect slight changes. Apart that not even in the talked about subjects.
- No minigames in any close future
- Cathar success will make or kill any further attempt at new specie because it's expansive.
- Note the lack of emphasis on V.O. content
Speaking of 1.6 & life day orbs, they are already in the game files, so you can already check the upgoming items: here
Comments
Basically, everything that might make SWTOR interesting has been put on the backburner.
What players really wanted all along was more stuff in the cashshop!! It is so clear now. Excuse me while I go hang myself.

Recognize the voice? Yep sounds like Penny Arcade's Extra Credits.
"With Life day coming up, we will have a new Life Day Cartel pack and cool new items such as Czerka LV-1 Celebrator (you are going to die when you see it), Life Day robes, orbs, holo-tree etc."
The next "event", Life Day (aka as Christmas) is a sale at the Cash Shop.
Art imatating life.
That's......no. If this is accurate how about having the event and putting event exclusive extras only available for that time like wookie slippers.
What did you want the original poster to say?
"Here's Dulify's link to a transcript to 1.6 Q&A YIPPPPPPEEEEEEE!!!"
Would that have been better?
Not seeing any lies in OP's post, in fact, he took it pretty easy on it.
Ah, so they are doing both then - increase base number from 2 to 6 plus buy more, thats good, can then play through more stories and put this game to rest once and for all ... unless the secret space project turns out to be like STO, EVE, SWG etc. and not more on rails missions but done bigger and better and different, although could be multiplayer on rails where one player fires the main guns and the other player fires the missiles
Star Trek Online - Best Free MMORPG of 2012
Don't hate the game, just want it to be better.
IMO it can still be salvaged but alas not with the current trend.
Thing is some of us don't eat the PR bull*.
Finally many of the "haters" you are pointing have a very long record of detailed constructive feedback and suggestion threads, both here and on the official forums.
I'm giving you a few links so you can make your own opinion, and well also inviting you to add your input to them:
yeah honestly i support the game and still play but after seeing whats going on the last couple of days with priorities i think it might be time to move on as well which sucks as the combat is what i enjoy and story. But with that being said they seem to rather push more market trash at the game with priorities over real content. Maybe im just paranoid but im starting to get the warhammer online PR spin from their messages and it just doesnt seem like they have any intention of releasing any real content ahead of market updates and their priorities are way out of whack. If they want to prioritize the cartel market thats fine im sure there is idiots that will spend 100s of dollars on stupid packs every month but I do think majority of the playerbase will leave the game thats left if thats all we get for many months. Heroic space missions to me are boring and another warzone will be played out within a week so not sure where they want to go with this game direction other than cartel market and milk it.
I'm afraid you would be right.
For now the next "real" content seems to be scheduled for March, with Illum then Makeb few months later.
In between very thin updates and cartel packs to milk the players.
Hope I'm wrong though.
yeah ive already started looking around at other games today to be honest for myself and the wife but there just isnt really anything great out there now , man this year has sucked for mmorpgs. Guild Wars 2 a let down , this game a let down now , TSW another letdown blah. LOTR online has a new patch hitting live in a week or two so that might end up being the new home for a bit. It just really sucks that all these newer games release and all of them lack any soul at all.
I like logging in GW2 from time to time, the game is really well polished and it's nice for explorers like me
I enjoyed TSW beta but it's missing this little something. However I found the cutscene and story much better than SWTOR.
LotRo is indeed a nice game. I'd love better animations but the game have many bells and whistle you wish others had.
I bought Rift xpack but don't have time to dig into it. However if there's a studio doing things right it's them!
Been years since I played Wow and well I look forward playing pandas with wifey (to each his own I guess )
Can't wait for a remix of: Dark forces II + X-Wing vs Tie Fighter FPS MMO though...
