Mostly Light Assault. Mainly because I just started and I always like to get a feel for class based shooters with their main assault class. Sometimes switch to Heave or Infiltrator. Will keep experimenting though.
I certed most heavily into medic, but I tend to end up as engineer because of the lethality of the carbines at point blank, short, and even into medium range. I also use the tank mines and bouncing betty a lot.
Mostly HA but I have played them all. Like MAX-AA but they aren't needed all the time. Like anythng Air, but my Outfit isn't into flying that much...as is with vechile support (except Sundies).
I been tinkering with Light Assault as well, however I feel like a pigeon at a skeet shoot contest. Does the jetpacks get any faster if you devote your certification into it?
Yes, the jetpack can get a lot better at 3+. Not sure if I'd recommend the drifter jetpack though.
I play Engineer mostly to compliment driving a Sunderer, Magrider, and Scythe. In situations where our forces can't take bases easily I'll switch to LA. Lots of tanks, switch to HA. Or if we are at a stalemate and they have a lot of infantry in the open I'll switch to Infiltrator.
Medic because it yields more XP with zero skill involved (and I'm a zero skill twitch fps player, I don't even hit a door point blank) than any other class, by far.

I was playing medic in beta and loved the class, however it seemed like I was dying more than helping the other dead players
Originally posted by Stayonboard I'm pretty noob, any class recommendations for someone just starting?
Try them all till you get the feel of the game and make sure it's a class you like before investing in certifications.
If you like the support class then either go medic or engineer, at least you can get a feel for the game while helping out others and both aren't too shabby either when it comes to combat.

Tried out the tank mines today which I never did in the past and I gotta say I am impressed.

more like incredibly OP. an invisible mine that will 1 shot any tank....retarded. it is literaly impossible to see mines (especially on bridges) when you are driving a tank, and they do not despawn when the person that put them down dies....nerf bat incoming.

If you think there is a nerf coming, it maybe some time since they undone the nasty from last week.
- Tank mines can now once again be deployed by throwing them reverting the change made last week.
and i don't sit in zergs and heal guys for cheap points, i frontline storm and heal & rez at the very first line my blood may draw.
Why medic if all i do is sprinting into the meat grinder? No other class can keep on killing like a selfhealing medic with c4 can do
Light & Heavy assault all get worn down if they survive a few fights + You can pretty much Giraffe TR & Va as medic, most don't look past a "white" backpacket.
Just scored 10 knife kills yesterday by giraffing a whole sniper position including their engineers and medics while our heavies hid behind a rock cowering.
1% the few minutes to "scare" away podshoppers with my HA lock-on antiair Missile launcher.

Eng. mostly, to fix my lightning/liberator/schythe. I have 0 unlocks on my eng. though lol.
I play inf. if not. I have a lot unlocked there.

Nah, it doesn't. Its currently bugged when going higher than rank 2 does nothing.
