Pathetic chat aka Spammers paradise.

So chat is dead in this game. Want to ask someone for help or offer advice? Well, you'll miss that question or response, or they will be cause the chat box is moving so fast!!! Why? Spammers.

They are also using clever names. Longer names with many capitalized i's and lowercase L's. So you get IIIlllllVIIIIlllIII as an ingame name. Try guessing which letter is which. There are no serifs, no way to click on the name. There is simply no way I can find to ignore these people. Oh, and the ignore command is actualy /block in this game. Either way, they have been in the same area spamming for about a week now. Obviously the devs or anyone associated with the game doesn't play their own game, because in a weeks time not one of them noticed. I won't be playing this game until they fix chat.

Yeah, when i did the beta it felt like that. WHen you have gold spammers in your closed beta count it as a loss.

    Because i can.

It actually gets better once you get farther in game. The first 2 areas and Igen is terrible, what I did  was turned off field, shout, and never have my chat tab set to all. Once you get to Heroes Lane and the following areas you'll be able to talk and socialize, with people that are actually trying to play the game. When you are trying to group up for bosses just ask for an invite from the people that are around you. I have found that people do not have a problem throwing out an invite if their is room in their parties, and the lvl 35s are real helpful in helping the lower lvl players take down bosses. The game is a lot of fun and believe it or not I hate action combat games after experiencing it in GW2, but somehow RaiderZ seems to have it right. Just don't let the spammers get to you, they seem to like the first 2 zones and that first main city, but after that you want see them. Atleast I dont.

You are right, but after all these years playing MMO's I just don't have patience for something that can be solved so easily. I actually enjoy the game quite a bit, but the only way to say anything now a days is to vote with my wallet. I may be only one person, but I am sure others do the same as well. If I just continue on, perhaps buy something, and pretend that it never happened, its gonna give the developers ideas that they can just "forget" or simpley neglect core parts of how an MMO should work. And one of those parts to me is a competent chat system that gives me control. Every single other MMO I have tried this year did it better.

But as you said, RaiderZ seems to have it right. Was having a blast. Personally I didn't enjoy Tera as much but I think I'll give it a try for another month.
