Darkfall was buggy, everyone ended up just macroing their levels over night, cheaters were rampant, eventually the game only had 100 players on at any one time.

Suddenly this 'unholy wars' comes along with 2 new features and some graphics, and everyone is acting as if it's a brand new game.

The company didn't even bother getting their game on Steam. It was only recently fans put the game forward for Greenlight and the fans voted it up. Why didn't the developers put it up there ages ago and get the community to vote on it? Incompetent. Tasos always looks like he's stoned as well.

The original Darkfall barely qualified as an RPG.  It was more of a giant fantasy-based deathmatch.  What exactly did people do in that game if they didn't like to PvP?

Maybe Unholy Wars will offer more sand in the sandbox, but that remains to be seen.

well there was gathering and fort building, naval battles etc, but everything was so awkward about it. movement, combat, so wooden and stiff. didn't feel immersive.

If this is what you're expecting, get ready to be dissapointed.

DF UW will be just like DF 1.0. They're only getting reed of the grind, no more super hybrid since we got classes instead and graphics, world change.

DF UW will again, be all about pvp. Its death match only if you make it that way. If total freedom includes the freedom to kill anyone and spare anyone we want, ppl jump into conclusion quick and they call it fps Arena game. If it was that way, i wouldnt be here cuz i'd be playing unreal tournament instead.

I was waiting for game like DF for quite some time, but ugly UI, graphics and animations (beware blue flying doughnuts!) turned me off. They fixed it in sequel, so Im pretty excited to give it a fresh look.

I'm not going to be dissapointed because I'm not expecting anything.  Oh sure, you can play metagames in Darkfall, but at the end of the day, the entire game revolves around slaughtering people.  There isn't much if anything to do on the PvE side of the coin.  That isn't what made Ultima Online great, and I don't think the Darkfall devs truly understand that.

They wont have nearly as many instances as most games. That's more than enough to get me excited.

Well, then we could do all things we did in the wow clones. Kill NPCs and harvest.

    Haha
