"Players, the additional revenue from the /panda program will allow us to also implement the /potatochips, /soda, and ultimately, the /steak program, which is when we hope the real money starts pouring in." -Tyrens pouring in." -Tyren
Incase you didn't see it, heres a cheap laugh for all you EQ2 goers. Bliz sure knows how to make a kick-ass joke.

Yeah. After I saw the "Too Lazy to get up and use the phone?" banner at the top of the page I could see what they were poking fun at. They did a good job at it; the pictures are cool and the name was pretty funny. The Pandaren holding out the Chinese food is kick ass too. Another one of Blizzard's great April Fool's jokes.

Playing: WOW & GW
I didn't know a command could get owned. I guess anythings possible.
I think the real joke is on the WoW players who are paying a guy to come up with this whole joke instead of working on something of importance while SOE is getting kickbacks every time one of their players orders from Pizza Hut.
Seriously though, that was some pretty funny stuff. (BTW, I don't play EQ2, and I don't order Pizza Hut online, I prefer Papa John's online)
Sony Online Entertainment announces /smorgasbord!
Due to the success of /pizza launched last month and the introduction of /panda in a competitor's game today, SOE is pleased to announce we are working on /smorgasbord to allow our customers a veritable feast when playing EverQuest II. More details of food items included in /smorgasbord will be coming soon, however we can say that meals will be delivered by baby dragons needing practice with flight. As an added service, they will heat the food at the time of delivery.
(Thanks, Blizzard. You made us laugh.)

Anyone else getting tired of the SoE-Blizzard pie throwing?
HAHA
Yeah. I never undestood the whole my MMORPG is better than yours thing.
The MMORPG's war. Can anyone explain it to me?
*shrugs* To each their own, I guess.
I haven't gotten around to trying the /pizza function in EQ2 myself, and probably never will. It's just so much easier to send my hubby out for some pizza!
On the other hand, a /toilet function would be very useful!
Ouch.

SO where is the comments about Blizzard's unethical business practices retaliating against SOE's adds using Blizzards server problems as a marketting point Jorev? Now Blizzard is guilty of it as well, can we get a comment on that?

Please Fad, he'd lose his Fanboi status with Blizzard if he said something negative about it.
ahhh, true! :x

Please remember to keep it civil. We don't want it devolving into a flamewar. So no more fanboi comments. If this thread digresses any further it will be locked.
Thank you.

Ah sorry, I'll rephrase:
Please Fad, he'll lose whatever it is he thinks Blizzard is going to give him if he doesn't continue to ignore all the flaws, heck sometimes even defend them, and midlessly bash every other game on the market with nothing substantial to back up his claims.
If he posts here, he would actually have to admit, that 1) Sony is not really all that "Unethical" since the company he feels some perverse sense of loyalty to did the same thing, or 2) admit that, Blizzard isn't the Second Coming. Neither of which seems possible so I'd bet he aviods this thread all together (or at least the issues at hand).

They both benefit from such a conflict.
If a WoW or EQ2 player is reading about the conflict, they are getting more publicity from it.
Basic marketing. If 2 companies fight each other and actually make peoples smile, they win free publicity from the competitor and it benefit them a LOT in the long term.
Considering Blizzard have HUGE player base, I assume SoE will be extremely happy to be involved into that. The best thing a company can do is to activate a ''fight'' with a big competitor, it benefit both. Pepsi and Coke can tell you about it, and the 3rd party who where not involved can also tell you.
PS: Is Pizza Hut with Coke or Pepsi? I never deal with them...I am surprise they didnt buy a banner at SOE...they just prolly didnt realize it, so could be an idea to make sure their marketing know it for SoE...

Last year's two headed ogre joke was actually funny.
This wasn't funny at all. I don't know who wrote it, but I haven't read anything that took so long to be so unfunny in a very long time.
Usually Bliz people have a pretty good sense of humor too. Disappointing to say the least.

You apparently lack a sense of humor.
Most everyone, including the EQ2 fanbois, agree that this is very funny.
EQ2 got owned big time.

Funny? Yes.
Owned? No.
Owned big time? Hardly, SOE took a shot at their server problem, they come back with a retort about a command to launch the pizza hut website? It was funny somewhat, don't push it. It was also weak as hell in comparison to how SOE got Blizzard initially.
Am still waiting to hear your justification for Blizzard stooping to attack adds...
